Yes, but that's just to make the pilot. Just like any other new show, the network then decides whether to take the show from the pilot to series.My guess is this will make it though. Too many people are excited over this now.

Well, a pilot is the first episode of a series if it makes it to the air. They need a cast to shoot that hypothetical first episode.

Boy Meets World was an great show that still holds up in reruns today. Now I'm not totally sold on this Girl Meets World for a few reasons...my main concern is the audience wants an Boy Meets World reunion then a spin-off.
