Impressive numbers for TASM, should end with $8 million.Dark Knight Rise opens this Thursday (July 19) but unlike TA and TASM, it won't likely occupy 90% of the screens as Ice Age 4's 2nd week will get a fair share of the screens and TASM as well. Plus Cinemalaya Film Festival will start on July 20 and will have screenings in Glorietta and Trinoma.

Saw Dark Knight Rises! Loved it! I wonder how this will fare here, maybe $5 to $6 million? The almost 3 hour-run time will limit screenings plus it's not exactly a "family" movie like TA and TASM were (plus the family audience have Ice Age 4).

Looking forward to see The Dark Knight Rises numbers. Unlike TASM and TA when they practically had 90% of screens available during its first weekend, TDKR had to share with 2nd week of Ice Age 4 and on smaller levels Magic Mike as well week #4 of TASM. Then the non-stop rains during the weekend will not help. Anyway, the screeenigs were sold out in Glorietta and Greenbelt last Saturday so let's see.Ice Age 4 is poised to be the biggest animated flick this year. I doubt Brave could match it when it finally opens on Aug. 1 but I hope it beats Lorax and Madagascar 3
