I am surprised how average this movie was. You'd think a movie from the producer and writer of Speed and director John Woo would be awesome, but this movie is so forgettable and anonymous. The CGI is also absolutely horrendous even for 1996. It doesn't even feel like a John Woo movie. Only things that stand out are Hans Zimmer's awesome score (this guy can write awesome themes even for forgettable action films, he also did it with Drop Zone and The Peacemaker), and John Travolta as the villain.

what is up with the Dewey song from Scream??  I guess Hans Zimmer composed it for Broken Arrow and then used it for Scream 2??  huh??

Broken Arrow is kinda enjoyable because of the Travolta ham.

It was used in the temp track for Scream 2 and the Weinsteins fell in love with it. They had Marco Beltrami rip it off for his score but they ultimately ditched that and paid to simply re-use the music.
