This movie is so sad. I kind of forget how it ended, but I remember there being a huge fire. Overall I remember liking it despite it being depressing at times. B+

one of the best animated movies of all time. Made me cry buckets as a kid. Havent seen it again for more the 15 years and probably wont. Sometimes movies dont have the same impact after you have passed a certain age and i dont want this opinion of mine for this movie to change in the slightest.

My second all-time favorite Disney movie that focuses on narrative, behind Fantaisia. Loved it as a kid. Still love as a hunger for violence teenager. It's that amazing. Edited September 10, 2014 by Rorschach

Fantastic animation, a bit easy on story. This and Fantasia are probably the most ambitious animations ever done (together with SnowWhite which paved the way). But even after he cut Bambi down during production to save on costs, it lost Disney some money. (Fantasia even more) - that's the reason why there's only such a limited number of really outstanding animation movies.
