Purple Minion

Mexico Box Office | Kongzilla repeats on top, Civil War and Abigail underperform

Until november 2014 those are BOM numbers. This year I used OD exchange rates because Rth told us that's what studios do. Last year I did what you are suggesting, calculating each week by its own ER, with Mockingjay, Big Hero 6 and BotFA and there were significant differences when Rth gave us studios numbers for those movies. So since then I am using OD exchange rates :)

Wait, what, No studios use weighted average intercompany monthly rates, rates are set in advance then adjusted if necessary.

Taking in account that usually movies do 70% of their business during their first 2 weeks in theaters using OW exchange rate is so much more accurate than what BOM does (they just take the exchange rate available during the film last weekend in theatres and use it for its whole run) Edited by Henry The Last Avenger

Take it with a pinch of salt since this account has posted incorrect info and loves rounding-up figures to the extreme.

@BoxOfficeMexico

15.3 millones de mexicanos han visto ya @Avengers que para el domingo será la más taquillera de 2015.

Translation: Current audience for TA2 in Mexico = 15.3M, it will be the #1 movie of 2015 by Sunday.

Big achievement by TA2 if it jumps over FF7 by Sunday, even bigger if it reaches MX$800M in the next weeks and super fantastic if it matches TA1 total in pesos by its CT!

First year with 2 movies with over US$50M total gross. Would Minions or any other do the hat trick?

That's fantastic for TA2 :) But still I expected TA2 to beat TA1 in pesos!! Like in Brazil you know...
