According to Rentrak Mexico, Sunday 12 July 2015 was the single day with the biggest audience ever, over 2.4 millions!

Minions could be fighting for biggest audience/gross in a single day ... close with AoU's first Friday.

And since Sunday was so massive, I expect a solid full week and a good second weekend.

If my calculations are correct, Minions now holds the record for biggest audience ever in a 2 week period. Pity about the low ER and children's ticket prices not translating in higher USD numbers. Notice how out of the big 6 summer movies, TA2 had the lowest gross on its second week.
