I like japanese animation movies and Ponyo has a lot of poetic elements lacking in American movies.

It's pretty weak for Miyazaki, certainly compared the his three previous films, but it's still alright.B+

Definitely a minor Miyazaki, but his movies are so good that even his "bad" movies are good. Its beautifully drawn and charming but often nonsensical and stupid, but not to such a degree as Howl's Moving Castle. This one is more for the smaller kids.

It's too simple, and I think the story is weak. It's also a bit too long for a movie that's not so engaging. What I liked though is the animation. Wow, I've never seen such stunning visuals in a 2D-animated movie.
