  1. PG-13. And the nudity was such a big deal, that a company offered to physically cut Kate's Winslets out of VHS copies ahead of its (massive) home video release.
  2. I, for one, will be surprised if Oppenheimer scores above a B+ CinemaScore which is perfectly in check with Inception and Interstellar which were both leggy as Hell. Just an FYI, come late tonight/early tomorrow morning.
  3. Can't imagine how this doesn't move to 2025. If I were Paramount, I'd plant my flag on July 25, 2025.
  4. Under normal circumstances, that would be interpreted as in line with the franchise. Solid, absolutely acceptable and would be written off as another win. But given the circumstances (COVID) that led to that inflated budget ($300M) and the overall expectations with "finale factor" (albeit this is Part One), then it's pre-tay, pre-tay, pre-tay not great, Bau.
  5. Obviously Gunn can and should cast whoever he wants, no matter what fandom thinks. Whomever is chosen, I'm all for. But if I were Gunn, Kurt Russell and Sissy Spacek for the Kents and Andre Braugher for Perry.
  6. Feels less like a movie and more a conversation starter nowadays. Regardless of how one felt (loved it, hated it, somewhere in between), there's no denying that it was the exact moment the tide turned against Disney/Lucasfilm in the eyes of fans and the bad taste left in the general public's mouths. I, myself, didn't like The Last Jedi. It was nowhere near as clever or convention-flipping as it thought it was. Saw it at an IMAX in the state capitol opening day with my lovely life wife and haven't seen it since. Nor have I thought about it outside of the division it created. I just... moved on. *SHRUGS*
  7. Weeks ago, Film Twitter went out of its way to blame Zaslav and Gunn for The Flash. Even though neither greenlit it, were creatively involved and merely inherited it from the previous WB/DC regime. So I'm gonna very curious if they are equally vicious to Bob Iger over the failure of Dial of Destiny. Or will everyone suddenly handle him with kid gloves and point out how he too inherited this?
  8. That very well might explain why he's talked up Swamp Thing more recently than his "Biblical" Star Wars prequel.
  9. This is "Holy. FUCK!" level of delusion. https://www.showbiz411.com/2023/06/18/box-office-the-flash-faster-than-thought-beats-estimates-with-64-million-three-day-weekend-despite-naysayers
  10. Maybe... but I'm not holding my breath. They have been on a downward trajectory and word is especially bad on Fast X.
