Excuse me, in WoWS she gave Trophy Wife Harley Quinn, in I, Tonya she gave Poor Harley Quinn, in this she's giving Golden Age Harley Quinn, in Barbie she'll give G-rated Harley Quinn, the range is stunning. Your fave could never.

she seems to use the same Brooklyn accent in every movie. which is weird since she's not even American. It's like she picked an "acting accent" and stuck with it.

Maybe Olivia was right in the video and flo was "uncommited". i doubt olivia would defend shia in that video if he did something really bad. we don't know anything about flo...she came out of nowhere and the fact that she won't do PR for the film tells me she has a grudge with olivia long before shia came out with his receipts.  I'm just saying..

Shia has a history of problematic erratic behavior with female co-stars and many abuse allegations (I linked Mia Wasikowska's experience with him in 2016) People make excuses for male actors being assholes due to "method acting" but it really isn't an excuse. Given Shia's history I'm willing to believe he was being an asshole

  3. I think what's most likely was Shia was his weird and asshole self during rehearsals in the name of "method acting" and Florence didn't like it/felt uncomfortable and avoided rehearsing with him. Since Florence was avoiding being around him and probably made it clear she didn't like him, Shia probably was like "Okay I quit" Olivia tried to make peace and begged him to stay and in the video threw Florence under the bus by painting her as a diva that was "uncommitted." Shia still said he was done and WB/Olivia just had to accept it and recast the role.

btw, i don't think shia acted "sleazy", just his usual bullshit "method" acting. no way would olivia be so upset about his leaving the project if he was indeed sleasy. At least, i hope so

Shia has been problematic with female co-stars in the past. Mia Wasikowska said he "terrified her"

BTw did Oliavia herself  say Shia was fired or was that Variety who said it?

“I say this as someone who is such an admirer of his work. His process was not conducive to the ethos that I demand in my productions. He has a process that, in some ways, seems to require a combative energy, and I don’t personally believe that is conducive to the best performances. I believe that creating a safe, trusting environment is the best way to get people to do their best work. Ultimately, my responsibility is to the production and to the cast to protect them. That was my job,” Wilde said."

I guess she didn't DIRECTLY say she fired him but she definitely implied it.

The speculation that Florence does not care for Olivia is looking more and more true by the day. Sure, the media likes to pit women against each other, but sometimes coworkers just don't always get along. This seems to be somewhat one-sided, at least.

Some of the Styles fans are really unhinged in their hatred of anyone he dates, however, that doesn't necessarily the person a faultless angel, either. Olivia really went to Variety and told them her whole chest that Shia would cause an unsafe work environment on set so she had to fire him, meanwhile she was practically begging him to stay with the project. Like, she didn't remember that she sent texts to Shia and did video chats that tell a very different story than the one she provided the media? Is she one of those people who believes in the "emotional truth" of whatever they are saying at the moment?

I wonder what the mainstream entertainment media will say about Wilde now, their narrative has been that any and all criticism is misogynistic.

Oh I hate that this basically makes Harry Styles stans seem vindicated.

Casting Harry is not worth the drama it brings to a movie imo. i doubt any of this would have come out if had not been cast.

But yeah Olivia is so weird for this. I think she and and Florence definitely had some issues and Olivia has been trying to act super nice publicly with her constant praise of Florence, which was making Florence look a bit bad for being for basically not acknowledging her. But going as far as to say she fired Shia to protect Florence when that wasn't the case is so weird.

FKA twigs hadn't come out with her abuse allegations at this point but his very turbulent history with Mia Goth was pretty well known. I remember a video of him threatening to hit her if she doesn't stop something and him saying "this is what makes people abusive" . Also his erratic behavior on sets was also pretty well known so a video seemingly siding with Shia over Florence is definitely not a good look.

    Also ugh with "Miss Flo"

  7. I don't think this film can survive the backlash of cancelling Bat Girl. I know this film is more expensive but people are going to compare the situation. Cancelling a POC female led film but keeping a film led by grooming kidnapper is just not a good look even to a lot of dude bros/dc fanboys.

Namor and M'Baku are all the men this movie needs.

The first movie was female heavy as well. Like it got a ton of praise for all the female characters. With Chadwick's death and Daniel Kaluuya not returning idk what people expect lmao.

2022 isn't 2017. The metric of YT likes changed drastically with Infinity War and Endgame. The first Thor teaser was at 1.4M after 24 hours. DSMOM teaser at 1.7M, NWH at 2.4M, etc etc.

It was released at the same time as 10 other trailers. It's doing fine. It has a million likes on twitter in like 15 hours.

That transition from the bridge of No Woman No Cry to Kendrick's Alright is an all timer and I can't believe nobody in this thread mentioned it. The best use of popular music in a trailer since the first Us trailer.

100% who ever arranged the music needs to recognition tbh.

Also I need a full cover of Tems singing No Woman No Cry

It is a very well done trailer. But for some people that don’t follow the production timeline very well may left confused if Boseman will be in the movie.

So if there is no changes of release date, we will see three movie with some element of similarities , BP2, avatar2 and aquaman2 all released in the span of 5 months.

????He doesn't appear once in the trailer.... Man died 2 years ago

Brad Pitt producing this while using Weinstein’s PR people against Angelina is LOL.

lol also he had some knowledge of Weinstein's crimes as well (against Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie) and still continued working with him. Angie even claims they argued about it 💀 At least he's not directing or writing it lmao.

This looks a lot like Spotlight. I do love journalism movies though.
