Tom's image is so squeaky clean that some dumb comments about comic book movies is your example of destructive or problematic behaviour that will ruin his career lol. RDJ did good with him, I would say.

the success of this just shows that Disney should not be releasing their animated films in theaters instead of on streaming

Probably the fact that, uh, those weren’t Viking movies
Is there an audience for Viking movies in particular lmao???? I mean in terms of box office success what will make people see this when they didn't see those other movies.

The looks pretty entertaining but I don't really see what will differentiates this from The Last Duel or The Green Knight or all the other historical "epics" that bombed.

Met Amandla Stenberg this weekend at Wondercon. She wrote a comic book which has been optioned by HBO, was at the booth along with the author. Didn't seem like people recognize her yet, the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld had a huge line to meet him and not many knew of Amandla.
That's interesting because she has had many leading roles in films. Everything Everything, The Darkest Minds, The Hate U Give. She's was kind of pigeon-hold in mediocre YA adaptions in her late teens and early 20s but She's very talented. Definitely the most accomplished out of this whole cast. And accomplished that without using her personal relationships with famous people to attract headlines 🥷.
She's been the cast as the lead in an upcoming new Star Wars show so maybe that will help her finally break out.

So they'll flush hundreds of millions of dollars down the drain just to get people off their backs?
what money are they flushing down the drain by claiming Ezra won't be in their future projects?

This too. Not making excuses for their behaviour, but it’s mostly just a thing on the Twitter outrage bubble.
Ezra Miller's imdb STARmeter went up 546 levels. He's ranked 36. So obviously some people are looking him up due to this.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if WB leaked this to get people off their backs, they force Ezra into some treatment program and then just say since they are doing a lot better they'll give them a second chance.

Kevin Feige better nip in bud any shit that Sony has planned for Spider-man. It's beyond clear they don't know what they are doing.

Not just Sony villain movies, it’s about to cross 400 million
That's because of Tom Holland though. Also there's a difference between 16% and 40 something percent. But the audience score is pretty low on this too, so maybe this will have shitty legs.

Wow are Sony villain movies really review proof? This is going to get to 40 million isn't it?

OMG Jim is getting dragged on twitter

WB needs to keep this guy locked in a room. Or they are goign to end up with a West Side Story situation where they avoid advertising the lead of the movie lmao

lmao didn't he choke out a woman a while ago as well? I bet he's a pleasure to work with on set.

It's great that it's doing well in theaters and Sandra Bullock is still a first-billed movie star at 57 acting opposite love interests 20 years younger but this would have absolutely SHATTERED Netflix records.
Booo! No one cares.

So where do we see Batman ending up? 370?

The book is hugely popular and with the involvement of Taylor Swift I can see this being a moderate hit, if it's good.

Oh, just poachers?
🤣🤣Just poachers lol. I just thought it was a wild story. Especially considering the book/movie is sort of a murder trial story.

Oh wait it's not her it's her step son and husband lol. They lived on a wild life conservation in Zambia in the 90s and obviously had conflict with the poachers of elephants. Her husband *allegedly* had a "shoot to kill" policy for whenever they saw poachers. ABC news went there to film a documentary about conservation and apparently they actually caught one of the poachers being killed on camera. Both her husband and step son are wanted in Zambia for questioning.
I was pretty shocked when first heard it lol.

lol I LOVED the book but ever since I heard the author might be a murderer that's all I think about when I hear this title. Nice to see Daisy Edgar Jones again though.

Wait is that what the planet was called? Pandora?? Isn't that like a jewellery company??

I highly doubt it. Leo's in particular is famous for only attending whenever he's nominated (aside from the year after he won to continue the tradition of crowning the next Best Actress winner). His snubbing of the Titanic ceremony caused quite a stir back in the day.
Aside from the Don't Look Up and West Side Story casts being largely no-shows, I doubt anyone from the Nightmare Alley ensemble will be there either. The fact most of the presenters that have been announced have zero to do with the nominees might raise questions about whether there's a private protest in the industry going around where anyone who isn't actually nominated themselves wants nothing to do with the ceremony due to all the behind the scenes shenanigans leaving many completely disenchanted. Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if there was.
Or maybe the producers have no clue what they are doing and think it's better to have presenters that have nothing to do with the nominations.

oh okay. I saw 90 million in a review I was reading and thought that couldn't be right so I googled it and other sources said 90 million. My mistake then. 70 million is still a lot for a film like this in my opinion, if I was a studio I would be like 50 million max lol. But I guess the great visuals cost money lol.
