I know Nolan is probably stubborn about releasing in july but if i were Universal I would move this to the fall. Like a biopic about the guy who created the atomic bomb that's costing hundred million dollars coming out a week after Mission impossible, a week before Antman and the same day as Barbie. This doesn't scream summer movie imo.

I kinda want this to be a fun girly 2000s type movie. Like clueless or Legally Blonde or something. I hope it doesn't take itself too seriously.
-
LOL at WB trying to get back at Nolan

I'm already seeing some hype for this on social media with Austin Butler's GQ article. I see it being a decent hit tbh. Probably get mediocre reviews though. Like I'm thinking Great Gatsby or Bohemian Rhapsody critical reception. I'm just interested in how the black characters will be portrayed in the film.

The flash will be releasing in a year time. People move on, no one will care about his arrests.
This seems premature to say, especially since there is no indication Ezra is getting anyhelp. What if they get arrested again on more serious charges? A girl on tiktok is alleging they abused her when they dated (although gave no details). What if ex-girlfriends start coming out with serious allegations of abuse???

Mediocre drop for Sonic albeit understandable. Really disappointed at its legs.
surprisingly uncharted had much better legs.

The Success of Everything Everywhere all at Once shows there's definitely still a market for Indie films in post covid era and theater exclusivity is important imo.

Yeah, the dedicated fans who saw Malcolm and Marie, Gifted, I Saw the Light, Crimson Peak, High Rise. Such major hits
Gifted was a hit, M&M was a Netflix movie so idk but she's getting paid 10 million dollars for her next movie with luca Guadagnino so apparently the studio thinks she has enough fans. Yeah some of Tom Hiddleston's films flop but he still has fans who see everything he does.

What is your infatuation with this movie and thread? Every time I open up it's either "this is a flop" "why did they spend money on this" "bad audience scores" "pretentious" "I cannot see this"(as if you would). If you have so much distaste over this film, why spend time projecting in a thread about it?
My fascination with this thread is because I want see the film. I loved The Lighthouse and I'm a huge fan of Anya Taylor Joy...... I'm so confused by your problem with me lol.

Nah, they aren't wrong.
First of all do they really think all the girls who loved Titanic checked out Kate Winslet's Indies? her first few films post titanic bombed. Even Marvin's Room with Leo which was released like a year after Titanic didn't do that great.
The Twilight thing is even more of a joke. Yes Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart do have a small core fanbase that made a point to watch their indie films but the majority of Twilight fans did not watch them lmao.
The reason why some MCU fans don't check out the actor other Indie films is because they aren't fans of the ACTOR, they are fans of the Marvel story line. It's like asking why people who loved the original Star Wars didn't watch Carrie Fischer or Mark Hamill's indie films lol.
Some of the actors in the MCU do have dedicated fan who will watch anything they do. Like Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Zendaya, etc.
Next, god forbid not everyone enjoys a hard R violent Viking movie. Must mean the general populace is too stupid to enjoy "real films"

You don't want to get near this movie if those things are big factors for you. But I don't know why you thought it wouldn't be a heavily violent film.
Sorry I don't want to derail this thread any more but from the trailers I didn't get vibes that there were children characters really involved in the story. (aside from protagonist as a kid). I'm okay if children die off screen but I get triggered by continued on screen violence towards kids. @cookie explained the scenes a bit more so I have a better picture of what it is. I'll get out of this thread now lol.

Thank you for answering my question!!!!! Ok so it's not as bad as I thought when I read Blaze Heatnix post. It should probably be okay..I might wait until my brother sees it just to confirm.

The movie is not called "THE HERO." It's called "THE NORTHMAN." And the promos make no promises that he's the Icelandic Iron Man.
look I don't care what it's called or if he is a good guy or not. I am just get triggered with violence and abuse towards children so I just wanted to confirm it. I was actually looking forward to this but if its true I'll probably skip it until I can fast forward those parts.

Wait does he really
Spoilerkill kids. Like young kids? In a violent manner? Like he personally kills multiple children and it's depicted on the screen???
If so then I don't think I can watch this Can someone who has seen it confirm this for me???

Put MCU on ice because Letitia has opinions about vaccines.
I don't think they should put DC on hold but can we please stop with the false equivalencies. Repeatedly assaulting women is not the same thing as having an uninformed opinion on vaccines.

With all due respect to RDJ (because I genuinely like him) if he was not a rich actor he would have spent a lot more than a year in jail. The guy drove under the influence, was constantly arrested for possession and use of controlled substances, carried a concealed weapon, and missed multiple mandatory drug tests.
Unfortunately the legal system takes drugs more seriously than assault so, no I don't think Ezra is going to spend much (if any) time in jail. However they very much need intervention or their behavior will escalate to something that can cause irreparable damage.

SInce Miller is facing possible prison time for this, it might be a bit late for intervention. He is in the criminal justice system now.
Miller is a rich celebrity. They aren't going to get much, if any prison time for this.

But seriously if this guy causes serious injury to a woman or even kills someone (god forbid) WB will probably be forced to shelf the film. I know I sound dramatic but someone needs to intervene or his behaviour will escalate.
-
But honestly , someone needs to intervene with Ezra because their behaviour could escalate and soon they'll do something that will FORCE WB to shelf The Flash.

Ok yeah sorry that makes sense.
It will be interesting to see how they handle the promotion when the title star is terrorising the entire state of Hawaii lol. Focus on Keaton?
well the movie was delayed to next year. Grace Randolph alleged this was related to Ezra's issues.

They need to just release the film and recast The Flash for the next film.

Cratton - Shang-Chi
Boden and Fleck - Captain Marvel
Cathy Yan - Birds of Prey

Booksmart Budget - 6 million
Don't Worry Darling reported budget - 20 million
Coogler - Creed was a known IP, a Rocky film and had a budget of like 40 million, Black Panther again was a Marvel movie.
Again, how can you compare giving an unknown IP in a genre that is unlikely to reach a large audience a large budget to Marvel or DC hiring indie directors for their films. Anyway I'm glad it's not actually 90 million like I initially read. 70 million is still a lot though.

Mmm... He says he wants a break. I don't know when FF was supposed to start but I wouldn't be surprised if he's back for SM4 tbh.
