It's puzzling but it's definitely happening. It's been gaining on Cap 2 since noon and as of 7pm Eastern, Guardians officially pulled ahead and sits about 5% above Cap. If the trend continues I'd say Rth is spot on.
Jersey Boys is ahead by a bit at the same ToD but that film played very well in matinees and then collapsed in the evening so I wouldn't read much into that.
As of now it's looking pretty good as far as these types of biopics go. It's ahead of Ray and about even with The Butler but I have a feeling this is more of an east coast film so we'll see how it plays out.
I posted this in the wrong thread...
Very early matinee numbers on the East Coast are currently about 20% lower than Winter Soldier at the same ToD and about 15% ahead of Thor 2 at the same ToD.
Still no Thursday number for Guardians but very early matinee numbers on the East Coast are currently about 20% lower than Winter Soldier at the same ToD and about 15% ahead of Thor 2 at the same ToD.
Do you mean the diegetic music or the score? Most of the James Brown classics are represented in the film and they use his original vocals and arrangements.
Lucy came in a bit higher than expected last night. I'd say around 5.34 for Monday. That's a 9% increase which is more than the first Tuesday for Salt.
