  1. Five Nights at Freddie's is going to make comfortably more money WW than The Marvels...
  2. Maybe I'm just optimistic but I still think this can surprise and become a hit. All it really needs to be is entertaining not even good per say. The holidays are barren this year and this will be the only big spectacle out in theaters. I'm thinking $200M DOM and $550M OS. $750M WW total would be respectable.
  3. He's really one of the most popular actors around right now because of Yellowstone. Anyways this looks great I love a good western!
  4. Goes to show there'll always be a market out there for shark movies. Meg 2 will be profitable by the end of its run which is great especially during Summer of flops. Really great Mexico number!
  5. The Flash and Indy 5 lost more money because of their high budgets.
  6. With that budget Haunted Mansion was doomed to fail even if it was great. Bad release date and the fact that horror has a limit especially PG in terms of boxoffice. No horror movie except like It would've made money if their budget was $150M. I'm starting to worry for Disney this is like their 5th boxoffice disappointment this year.
  7. I saw this movie and what a pleasant surprise! I thought the critics were harsh on it deserved more like an 80%. The movie looked absolutely gorgeous, and the characters were engaging. The story was a bit cliche, but I thought it was done well. My only gripe with the movie is that the message at times was a bit too on the nose if they subdued it a bit I think it would've had a higher critic score. But yeah, I think the movie will age well and be considered underrated as time comes like A Bug's Life.
  8. Having watched the full CNBC Bob Iger interview it's apparent that the company is in deep trouble.
  9. I just saw this movie with my mom, I had a really great time and she loved it! There was a lot of action set pieces that delighted her and the movie was set in so many places and she enjoyed the settings so much. I liked the ending and was quite moved by it and she did as well. I don't get much of the hate in this movie at all. Harrison Ford is front and center in this movie and he has so many action scenes. Helena Shaw actually gets put in her place by him a couple times in the movie. Also I didn't dislike Helena Shaw's character at all, I thought she brought a lot of spunky energy that really fit well in the movie. Phoebe Waller-Bridge has charisma and she's having a hoot of a time in this film! There are instances when she might be grating a bit but it's mostly due to the writing and dialogue and that's like 1 or 2 moments in the movie. A very well made and entertaining movie imo. I thought they gave a fitting end to Indiana Jones but it doesn't totally end his journey. There's a room open there for another adventure with him. I'd recommend this movie to anyone really even those who aren't the biggest fans in the series, honestly they might like this even more. Extreme fans out there seem to have it in their heads on how the series should end and if it doesn't totally align with their vision then they get angry. I'd rank this 4th in the franchise but a very solid fourth because how good the first 3 films are.

  11. Watching this tomorrow with my mom and the only reason she's interested is because of Harrison Ford. So no it's not going to be easy to replace him as Indiana Jones you will piss off a lot of people.
  12. I think it'll save a lot of face if it can do $400M, sure it won't be a money maker but not a total flop like The Flash and Indy 5.
  13. Even though this movie flopped I do think it's playing an important role in bringing back audiences to watch Pixar in theaters. People seem to be really enjoying it and maybe this movie had to flop so other Pixar films in the future can thrive. I'm going to watch it this week with my niece and I'm excited to. I hope Elio is great and becomes a hit.
  14. I didnt say people liked the character but for last adventure it'd make sense for him to come back. You can just recast the character and make him likable.
  15. I think 3/5 of the next projects Disney will lose money as well. Wish will do alright but not a big hit and The Marvels is a bit of a wildcard could do well but also could disappoint. The rest of the year does not good.
