    Honestly, I could see a remake of As Good as it Gets with Leonardo Dicaprio and Jennifer Lawrence making $500M+.

    They make casting decisions based on financial sense. Brie is a star she can get roles most actors would dream of.

    I'm pretty sure she's very much in demand it just that she's not taking the prestige projects. Neither Robbie or Pugh have headlined a billion+ movie.

    I'm not shocked though... Making Oscar movies is tough and they'll most likely not make much $$$ at the boxoffice. There's plenty of wannabe Oscar movies that get released every year. They end up flopping hard and forgetting after just a couple weeks of release.

    Domestically I don't see it doing much more, but internationally it could do like $200M+ more.

    Why would she? She did all that stellar work to hit the jackpot now that she's made it what's the point?

    The budget of this is like $340M+ at least. It might need to hit a billion just to break even.

    Any expectations for Puss in Boots 2 here? The first one made nearly $14M, can this one match that?

    It all depends on how well it holds against Quantumania. It should hold really well this weekend considering no competition.

    $2.4B is now the goal and that'll depend on how it holds when Quantumania comes out.

    Honestly it's not impossible for Puss 2 to cross $460M WW and join top 10 worldwide of 2022.

    Puss in Boots 2 did $14.3M OS. $193.3M OS total and $334.1M worldwide. M3GAN did $7.8M OS, $146M worldwide.

    Maybe Avatar will be #1 again next weekend if Knock at the Cabin underperforms.

    Hopefully the BP nom means a lighter drop for A2 for this upcoming weekend to keep $700M+ alive.

    It's going to be more leggy than typical films considering the holiday season, but it'll depend on the quality. If it's considered an undisputed masterpiece by both fans and critics, then the sky is the limit.
