EDIT: Dammit, didn't notice it was already posted. Still though, I like Legendary's outlook. Sounds like home sales and the like pushed it far enough into the black to warrant discussion.
it's not like Disney is some kind of creativity vampire forcing Pixar to make these sequels. Well, Planes maybe, but Pixar isn't even making those.
Plus, Incredibles 2 makes all the other stupid sequels/prequels totally worth it.
I'm surprised we have so little news on this. I mean, I'm not surprised we don't have a trailer (Frozen didn't have one till, what, September?), but we should have heard casting by now.
By this logic you can say Frozen is niche because not many people read The Snow Queen.
Well yeah, considering there are only two of them. Not counting the BTAS animated films.
The part about the not having a cast bit is true. I hadn't really thought about that. It's especially interesting considering we have the cast for Inside Out already, which doesn't even come out until next year.
I think it's different enough from the Incredibles that there isn't going to be much of a comparison. The visual style based on the art we've seen is vastly different at the very least.
It's being produced through ABC and Marvel Studios to Netflix, I believe, so it's a safe bet it's in the MCU until otherwise stated.
This is kind of a groundbreaking deal for Netflix though. They've done original series before but nothing even close to something like this.
