In the theater for the 7:40 EoT now. Mostly young adults. About half full. Hope its as good as everyone says it is.

I'm gonna use SM1 and SM2 as comparisons for AoU. SM2 dropped a bit less than 10% from SM1 which also had similar attendance to TA and was similarly received. Though there is a solid chance AoU will have a bit lower 3D share than TA, so around 10% seems good to me.So AoU will probably do around $560-570.WW though, it might go up enough to more than make up for it. -
I've gone by the "fuck Deadline/Nikki, wait for Rth" method for a while now. I can safely say it was the way to go. Normally when people post Deadline #'s I don't even read them. Tonight was the exception.

Exactly. Deadline is typically passable with the bigger numbers, but the further down on the list you get, the more off they are.

Deadline typically lands in a close-ish range but are very rarely spot on. Honestly I'm pretty sure Deadline is mainly guesstimates.

It's really hard to write romance without a little cheese getting in there. That's why I love the original Spider-Man movies romantic angles. It's almost like they just embraced the cheesyness and just rolled with it- It's really endearing in a hammy way.

Episode VII and AoU will have crowds filled with 16 year old girls?

The only two movies I've ever "cried" at are Toy Story 3 and... Marley & Me. That said I got some manly watery eyes during TDKR.

Hopefully it can do low 40's. It needs to be in stabilizing mode now. Next weekend father's day should give it a nicely inflated weekend so hopefully it can get under 40%.

I actually kind of hope Walt Disney's death slip doesn't get drawn out of the hat until near the end. Its really cool having a "villain" dynamic here.

If Paramount decides to to give us the next Interstellar trailer with TMNT I'd go see it. Other than that the only one on that list I care to see is GotG.

Wow that's huge for Fault. I don't particularly care for the movie myself but if it breaks out (as in continues this impressive performance through the rest of the weekend) that would be awesome. This summer is in desperate need of it.

It's crazy how much Godzilla has been dropping. ASM2 I saw coming, but not Godzilla. After the huge opening I figured it would take a dive from intense initial interest/ X-Men coming out but I also had figured it would be stabilizing by now. Nope, still dropping like a rock.
