Great numbers! Had hoped that DM2 would be closer to 25 but that's still a great number.

I think both numbers will rise a bit in the end but righ around where I expected before previews.

I'm hoping my theater wasn't just an abnormality they had 4 sell outs last night for DM2 including 1 3D

Wednesday in general will be a stronger day than Thursday - now whether The trio of new openers hurts the holdovers is another story

And the 4th is one of those quasi days off too - if you work in any kind of retail you are probably working cause it's a big day for sales as well. Offices may be closed (and banks! ) but retail shops are always open.

While there is not "its so fluffy" moment I really felt like this film developed the Gru and Girls relationship, as it should have being a sequel. Loved it as it stand right now this is the best mainstream film I have seen for 2013 above even MU, I laughed and laughed and laughed and had so much fun, part of which I am sure is due to the audience which just ate it up, but in part as well to the fact that they put a well done movie on the screen for all to enjoy. Unless I am wrong (and obviously if I am baumer is going to correct me) Baumer had to put that caveat in there because of Release date switcharoo by the studios last summer and to protect and make the playing field even. If we are only counting FSS then fine but I read it as TFSS.

B+ / A- Thought it was great, much better than the last 2 outings from Pixar for sure, but it lacked that magical touch the first one had - something about exploring the monsters in the closet that they just couldn't recreate.
