    They are all perfect standalone films so far. There will be some returning characters, but they all blend into the story nicely. Defo IMAX or if nothing near you a PLF. This has to be seen on the biggest screen possible.

    The story of the weekend is RED DOOR. What a triumph. Amazing global start. Highest overseas horror OW since 2019. Should do 150+m WW easily.

    As mentioned the drop from China will likely to be equalled domestically. So need Rest of the World improve on FALLOUT the similar fashion. I think it can do similar to FAST X/FALLOUT overall internationally. 600m best case scenario if it catches fire in China (unlikely at this point). 550m OS is reasonable. Either way worldwide should give GOTG 3 a run for its money for the summer crown.

    Happy to see INSIDIOUS starting well. Thought it was decent. Nice directorial debut for Wilson.

    Smells like an 8 Oscar nomination type of film. Murphy might be s strong contender as well.

    99% on RT after 149 reviews. No wonder Cruise was hellbent screening the film to exhibitors.

    I think the buzz actually helps Barbenheimer. Ideally MI7 should have opened in Indy's spot.

    The marketing for this pretty much just "watch this in IMAX" and releasing miserable looking Cillian Murphy pictures. It's working. 😀

    MI3 is a decent flick. It does have the best villain. The only issue it has that all the following films in the franchise are a tier above in quality, It is more about how well Bird and McQ has done, really. To use a sport analogy, MI3 is a division winner, GP is a conference winner and McQ built a dynasty winning Super Bowls with Tom Cruise as his quarterback.

    Second that. Also The Bay, one of the most underrated horrors of all time. Barry Levinson's eco flick is the perfect 4th July film.

    Hard not to get super pumped for this when you read some of the reviews; "It’s rare that something so exhilarating and heart-stopping is, in some ways, also one of the most important films in recent memory.     A lot is riding on China. I would think that 475-500m is a safe bet. Hoping it can do 550-600m if it breaks out in a few big market.

    Possibly. I think she is quite busy at the moment, so probably couldn't commit to Part 2.

    FALLOUT had a near 23m OD after 6m previews. Yes, it was Friday, but reckon DR will have a higher OD due to previews should account for 10m+

    Yea, it is holding on much better than expected. Beating FAST X, FLASH and INDY domestically.

    I'm not saying it was a lock, but studios don't release reviews this early unless they are pretty sure it's gonna impress.

    That is impressive. Bodes well for the UK start. Guardian gave FALLOUT only 3 stars.

    THE FLASH is really gunning for the biggest domestic SH tentpole flop of all time. Trailing GREEN LANTERN and somehow posting even worse dailies.

    Noticed that Pathe IMAX has preview shows for MI this Saturday. Is that the case with other cinemas as well?

    If there's one market where I can see a sizeable bump for MI due to TGM is Oz.
