  2. Smart to keep the budget "low" on this. I haven't been following too closely, but am I understanding correctly that this won't be the usual setup, instead it'll be set in a small town and focused on one family? If so, I approve. Seems like it might feel different enough to be enjoyable.
  3. by the way, this was probably already reported, but I remember somebody was asking about it last week, so just in case:
  4. Count me as another who waited for Tuesday to see Terminator. Good movie, we both enjoyed it, but nothing great. Sadly it didn't really bring anything really new to the franchise. Elections were all over the country. Here in Ohio it was mostly city councilmen and school levies and stuff like that. Not national news, but some of it (especially some of the school funding votes) is legit important.
  5. "Ant-Man and the Young Avengers" has a bit of a ring to it. But it would make it pretty difficult to title a future movie "Young Avengers" a year or two later.
  6. Fantastic Four could sneak in there as well. Maybe 2023, maybe 2022, but I'd be surprised if we had to wait until 2024 or later.
  7. Glad this finally got a date. Wish it was sooner, but we all know animation can be slow. Especially the good stuff like this.
  8. The best Terminator production since T2 was The Sarah Connor Chronicles. (Salvation can kiss my stinky ass and rot in the fires of hell for playing a role in its cancellation.) That said, the biggest problem seems to be that they've all tried to expand upon a time travel story. Which is just asking for trouble. They haven't been "reboots" as you said, they've all claimed to be sequels. (Though with some timey-wimey shenanigans thrown in.) Seems like the only possible solution is to do an actual reboot at some point down the road. An all new origin story. But they'd have to wait like ten years, because the public really does seem to be done with it for now.

  12. I wonder if they made a last minute edit to their predictions, because when I looked a few minutes ago before coming to this thread, I saw 33.5 for Terminator, not 34.
  13. A lot of times special releases like that don't report box office normally. If you're lucky somebody like @Charlie Jatinder will stop by , though he may or may not be able to help.
  14. It was nice to be able to look on pulse and just see all the various movies and shows that theaters were selling. Sure, the numbers were super helpful, but just seeing what was available was really cool too.
  15. By the way, I'd just like to remind everyone that Terminator opens on Thursday. On Halloween. It's bound to have a much better Friday-to-Thursday ratio than other action sequels, right? Right?
  16. My theater just listed the times for Last Christmas with a note that says "tickets for Last Christmas will go on sale November 1 at 7 am".
  17. It looks like there isn't going to be a big early November movie this year too. Sure, there are a lot of early November movies, but there's no Thor Ragnarok or Harry Potter or whatever among them. Nothing to really take the GA's box office perception as the most recent big hit away from Joker.
  18. I was just checking out my theater's website to see if Frozen times were listed yet (they're not), and I noticed they had Ford v Ferrari tickets on sale for the first time. Did that just happen? Also, my theater doesn't have Last Christmas tickets on sale yet. Are they on sale everywhere else?
  19. just noticed that my theater split its PLF screen this weekend: 2 showings for Maleficent, 2 for Joker edit: and now I just checked my second closest theater, and they're doing 2 for Maleficent and 2 for Zombieland For both theaters, Maleficent gets the matinee shows, and the R-rated movie gets the night shows
  20. If you kiddos haven't seen The Haunting of Hill House, you need to watch it. It's a 10-episode long cinematic masterpiece.
  21. Does that date still have The Croods 2 on it , or did that movie disappear?
