Sometimes, one needs a "non-geek" perspective to get to the essence of these characters.Nolan is the anti-geek and made the best Batman (arguably the best superhero) movie ever.Goyer is a comic book guy but I would argue strongly that "he doesn't get it".

This post is so right that this thread should be closed and another re-opened.It's a fallacy that the sequel will automatically be bigger than the original. When it does happen, it's usually from a much loved movie that's been well received by audiences and critics alike (except for Transformers that it is).

WB should simply focus now on getting the Superman franchise right.Yes, MU stole the family audience from MOS but I would have expected the "young adult" demographic to still show up for MOS. I would argue that WWZ is performing so huge because a lot of people simply weren't into MOS.

"Cinemascores" are rubbish.G.I Joe Retaliation got a high score and that was the definition of a mediocre movie.

MOS Friday gross is less than its first Monday.That would suggest "not very good" WOM.Like I said in my earlier post, for MOS 2, a new creative team is definitely required. MOS is a flawed movie and I can understand why critics were lukewarm about it.

Watch it with expectations firmly in check. The movie has some serious structural issues (and I still can't get over some of the dialogue, a lot of it seemed unnatural). It almost seemed like Nolan's voice and Snyder's style was incompatible (its a weird comment I know but I can't find any other logical explanation for the movie's pacing problems).I'm a DC nut and I definitely intend on watching it again but my first viewing left me rather disappointed.

Finally saw MOS.Definitely not what I was expecting and not as good as some made it seem. I see why critics had problems with the movie because it really was a flawed film. Major issues were:1. The pacing was very strange.2. The dialogue was weird. Some of the acting was close to Star Wars prequel levels.3. The action at the end was very repetitive and somewhat cartoony.Overall, 2.5 out of 5 stars for me. The second movie DEFINITELY needs another creative team behind it.

People are a little freaked because we were expecting the movie to do at least $50M this weekend. Heck, I'm a little scared because I expected it to do a little higher.

Weekdays are generally stronger in June and weekends depressed. IM and SM were early May releases. Edit: I can see you already addressed the points in an earlier post,so nevermind
