  2. Well, It appears as if Incredibles 2 is on a trajectory to finish ahead of Finding Dory. The Dark Knight is the highest grossing 500m dollar film with almost 535m. This could be roughly ten percent above Dory... Boy, I remember when I was hoping Driven (2001) was going to show up at 30.0m on the AOL news. The next weekend did feature The Mummy Returns that did do over double 30m coming in way above Mission Impossible 2. Both managed to out open almost everything from the 1990's.
  3. If I2 goes beyond 25 million today, it will probably get reported somehow. predicted weekdays, Incredibles - 96.95 - 279.64 Oceans 8 - 11.19 - 89.78 Tag - 7.61 - 22.56 Solo - 4.35 - 198.12 Deadpool - 4,25 - 298.81 Hereditary - 3.89 - 30.90 Superfly - 3.24 - 12.25 Infinity War - 2.77 - 667.12 Adrift - 1.30 - 28.21 Book Club - 1.46 - 63.44 Gotti - 1.71 - 2.72 Wrinkle *double bill - 0.40 - 100.31 Hotel Artemis - 0.58 - 6.40 Upgrade - 0.35 - 11.43 AQP - 0.21 - 186.67 Show Dogs - 0.18 - 17.28 Breaking In - 0.24 - 45.41 Life of the Party - 0.27 - 52.11
  4. Had the Cleveland Cavaliers taken the NBA Finals this year to 7 games with either ABC or TNT, there would have been a lot of newer tv trailers for Jurassic World - Fallen. Game 5 - Monday, June 11 Game 6 - Thursday, June 14 Game 7 - Sunday , June 17

  6. I will try and bookmark these. I was watching the opening scenes of Top Gun the other day and it has me thinking about what it would be like to fly a powered airplane like that at 500mph+ and the timely decisions one must make. The only moment I can try and relate it towards is playing baseball when the ball is in play and directed at you and the concentration it requires. For me, it would feel like that moment when driving in stop and go traffic real fast and having to brake quick.
  7. Movietickets.com top 5 pre-sellers 66.2% - Incredibles 5.9% - Oceans 8 4.9% - Jurassic 4.8% - Tag 3.8% - Solo good to see Solo still managing to be above Deadpool 2 with the week advantage. It will likely stay in the top 5 over the weekend around where it was likely predicted to be during this time on MT ahead of time.
  8. I'd assume they are just super sneaks to get word of mouth activated. Like when awards films have 1 showing in December, and then release in March.

  10. it can happen with a huge 3 year production and the largest budget ever. They could make a 500m budget Halo movie and try and pay people to see it to open close to 200m, but it likely wouldn't last on the top 10 chart.
  11. It must be nice to have the information of all the drive in-double features paying 2x for 1 on this particular weekend. One could collect all the Solo + Incredibles + Wrinkle + BP double bills and really dig into the actuals and daily % holds and see if they can amount some .100k going towards each of them. 12. Hotel Artemis had a good Sunday drop and broke 1 million. Not much though, the Friday number was very light, likely too much demand elsewhere. It should have strong weekdays, over 0.5m and would be very lucky to only drop to 0.5m, -50%, the following week. 13. you just saw it now on the East Coast? were there any senior citizens showing up for Oceans 8?
  14. Show Dogs dropped more then estimated and did .766 of Friday on Sunday. Looking at the dailies, it should drop around 30-50% each day from this Sunday number 2018/06/17 - $46,200 -31% 427 $108 $17,106,331 31
  15. Ouch, I had Sicario at 3,150 and Uncle Drew at 2,850 for June weekend #5. *crumples up and throws paper onto ground* 6/29/2018 Sicario: Day of the Soldado $14,000,000 $37,000,000 2,700 Sony / Columbia 6/29/2018 Uncle Drew $16,500,000 $45,000,000 2,200 Lionsgate / Summit

  17. does anyone know when the latest estimates come in. Is it still around noon-4pm for whichever studio is lagging - WB, Disney, Lionsgate and others out of the major studios
  18. got these from 2007 - day and date comparison to today. Fourth of July Holiday same pattern but use gain ratios by $ amount for that one because Transformers opened on Tuesday and cut up all the theater counts right then. Weekly/Week ratio's. + # of weeks in release multiply weekend of 6/22-6/24 by numbers similar to this to get Jurassic World weekdays Evan Almighty - 1.46 (1) 1048 - 1.45 (1) Fantastic Four Silver Surfer- 1.42 (2) Oceans 13 - 1.47 (3) Knocked Up - 1.58 (5) Pirates At Worlds End - 1.67 (5) Surfs Up - 1.84 (3) Nancy Drew - 1.77 (2) A Mighty Heart - 1.37 (1) Mr. Brooks - 1.38 (4) Spider-Man 3 - 1.96 (8) Waitress - 1.85 (8) Hostel II - 1.51 (3) La Vie en Rose - 1.52 (3) thinking these numbers to get next weekends weekdays and adding them to the predictions I made earlier for next weekend.
