  1. 10.8 - DP2, 18.8 - Solo, 5.5 - Infinity weekdays DP2 - 10.8 + 5.4 + 3.9 + 3.8 = 232.1 6.5 + 9.0 + 6.5 = 22.0 / 254.1 Solo - 18.8 + 8.0 + 6.0 + 5.0 = 122.0 9.0 + 14.0 + 11.0 = 34.0 / 156.0 IW - 5.5 + 1.7 + 1.2 + 1.1 = 632.1 2.7 + 4.3 + 3.0 = 10.0 / 633.1
  2. will try to fill in stuff for next weekend when estimates arrive 6/8 - 6/10 6/15 - 6/17
  3. I don't think the two directors thing worked well for this picture. Which one was Josh Trank supposed to direct? Maybe the theme of space pirates drew some people away, but it has worked before with big budget blockbusters.
  4. it seems audience response generally shapes the cinematic storyline of Star Wars film going forward. Attack of the Clones had less Jar Jar and showed all the Jedi in action. Revenge of the Sith saw through plot conclusions. The Return of the Jedi went lighter.
  5. Boba Fett would be a second attempt away from the Skywalker structure. Kenobi would be more reliable. Boba Fett would be another personable tale and have to work for 100M OW. It might be like a robot drama or something...
  6. If you take a look at this here, I have included production budgets and worldwide current cumulations for the following films listed above: Solo $250 - 168.00 Deadpool $110 - 499.4 Infinity War $312 - 1,909.4 Book Club $10 - 34.88 Life of the Party $30 - 46.8 Breaking In $6 - 39.3 Show Dogs $5.5 - 13.4 Overboard $12 - 54.9 A Quiet Place $21 - 312.5 Rampage $120 - 413.0 Black Panther $210 - 1,344.7 I Feel Pretty $32 - 47.8 from the following data above, Life of the Party and I Feel Pretty will have to multiply what they currently have worldwide to find a significant return that The Book Club, Overboard, and Breaking In have seen. Show Dogs will need at least double what it has to shield from possible marketing strategies in the tens of millions . A Quiet Place has conquered the horror film box office market this year. The hundred million or so Rampage might have spent towards marketing itself and releasing to theaters should find a break even point there... $120 budget, a little over 3x that worldwide. Same with Ready Player One. Black Panther and Infinity War show strength and guarantee with paying audiences that should help to supply different directions with the film base continuity.

  11. Bad Samaritan was playing at 48 locations for its third week going into this weekend. No estimates have been reported, but at 3.435 million, it most likely covers the low budget thriller aspects but not the marketing process. It did out gross Thouroughbreds, but Unsane and Strangers: Prey at Night seemed to be the profitable winners for horror thriller.
  12. too bad there hasn't been too many depressing movies or tearjerkers out lately. Tulley and Infinity War? I have not seen A Quiet Place yet.
  13. the views probably accumulate because of the 'how to tutorials' to explain all the behind the scenes like Alien: Covenant. I'm sure the Wikipedia page gets a lot of view too, but it doesn't explain much into the expanded universe. SW fans know the franchise enough to like what they see for themselves IMO.
  14. I do not think Disney was expecting huge BO numbers when they did the final cut of Solo. Perhaps they should have doubled the budget?
  15. wont have to dream for bigger #s for Episode IX. TLJ will probably have a warmer response by the time it opens

  17. TLJ's divisiveness will probably not impede too heavily on the trilogy conclusion. Episode IX should deliver with the built up demand.
  18. from comparisons on how other opening tentpole films have done on this weekend of years past, Solo is likely being underestimated by $2-3 million.
