  1. They are just repeating what other sag members are saying. Which is that all the trades have studio spin and wait for the committee to announce any relevant information.
  2. What the studios consider to be best is not nessarily what sag considers to be best.
  3. Best and final offer usually indicates the final deal. There will likely be some minor tweaking but they’ve been negotiating back and forth nearly 3 weeks( not counting the week long break in between) so I’d be disappointed if this isn’t the end.
  4. That’s correct. More actors will probably be dropping from previously announced projects because of this.
  5. It’s pretty ridiculous since normal people work a full day on Halloween but then I remember this is Hollywood and they live in a different universe.
  6. Two and a half weeks isn’t a lot of time. Apparently there are premieres lined up in London, Berlin and LA. They are gonna put this cast to work! We shall see if it pays off.
  7. I think it’ll help with last minute ticket buyers. We’ve seen tracking be off the last couple of months and movies OW coming in lower than expected because of the lack of actor promotional push in the final week (imo)
  8. Talking is better than nothing at this point. As long as it takes to get a deal.
  9. I think Ghostbusters is likely moving to the summer too. Bad Boys sequel was able to finish filming but Venom 3 got stopped in the middle of filming due to the strike. Sony is definitely gonna have to move more things around. Also I think Universal will bite the bullet and push either Kung Fu Panda 4 or Fall Guy. Because Twisters isnt finished filming either. WB is looking like a genius for moving Dune to March now, even though I think it would have done well in November anyways without actors promo.
  10. Why are the a-listers trying to absolve the studios of responsibility? Let them pay up. I know they desperate to get back to working but be reasonable.
  11. Whoever the actor is must be doing something very minuscule. That might get a small reprimand and that will be it. Nobody has been outright promoting their films unless they have an interim agreement.
  12. They should move this to February It’s gonna flop during Christmas.
  13. False. Strike ended on Sept 26 everyone could return back to work.
  14. Wonka is coming out with a trailer tomorrow. Plus It’s a holiday film so I doubt it.
  15. The rest of 2023 slate seems to be mostly locked in, there are only two and half months left for the year. But some of the 2024 films will be moved for sure.
  16. I don’t think pre-sales will accelerate until reviews. Audiences are clearly getting pickier about comic book films.
  17. Ive heard rumors that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man isn’t gonna be leading the team even though he’s gonna be apart of it. But he’s probably gonna be first billed anyways.
  18. SAG meeting came sooner than i thought. Hopefully they can lock down a deal, but actors have several different needs than the writers besides the residuals and AI issues.
  19. Yes. There is a lot of audience trust there because he’s a great actor and works with quality directors. So people will see anything he is in.
  20. I don’t know why people are expecting The Marvels of all things to suddenly overindex with female audience. It’s mostly males who drive comicbook films. I haven’t seen anything unique or special about the marketing so far that would cause women to be overly excited for this film. I’m expecting the typical MCU audience.
  21. Ikr. Leonardo has been a huge star since Titanic. He’s arguably bigger than Tom Cruise (imo) and it’s laughable to even try and put Jason Statham in this discussion.
