  1. So Skyfall has (not yet officially) passed £100m!!Fucking phenomenal.
  2. From two days, The Hobbit has made AUD9.3m in Australia.Fantastic.
  3. Funny you say that - When I saw Avatar at EQ, the whole cinema would shake. Nothing has ever compared to it, although VMAX 1 (if that's the smaller one) at George St came close when I saw TKDR.
  4. I still find it strange that its the 'North American' Box Office and not the individual markets themselves..Especially considering everyone goes on about HOLLYWOOD, which is the US..
  5. If Avatar keeps getting delayed, we could be looking 500-600m from China.O.O
  6. I'm not sure if the 48fps has anything to do with it, but I LOVE the Entertainment Quarter IMAX - I actually prefer it to the real IMAX (or maybe I just haven't seen the right movie in it yet)
  7. Just tlking about the new fast and furious with the family...Then we got to talking about a Fast and Furious filmed down under. I wonder how much it would make here..I honestly wouldn't rule out over $40m (provided it was good of course)... Just a random thought..
  8. RTH, any chance of getting this list with full numbers, not just decimals?
  9. That run still pisses me off to this day.Titanic should have been a lock - and a very good chance at $60m. To drop out at $53m seems quite underwhelming compared to what could have been. But again, who can get angry with $53m?!
  10. With those numbers, are Skyfall and BD2 still on track for $300m?!
  11. And like usual...Record breaking day... No reports from MPDAA or UrbanCinefile.#fuckinguselesspeople
  12. That makes perfect sense that it was Event Cinemas record day.I was at Liverpool and it was absolutely packed. The line was almost out the door!
  13. Fantastic news!!! I LOVED Wreck It Ralph and I really hope it takes off here!!!
  14. I'm still not 100% confident with $50m.Given the compared-to-LOTR poor WoM, legs could be its downfall.A big opening was basically a given here.
  15. Les Mis from the International Thread:Australia has had 3 days of previews, grossing $1.3M from limited sessions. The film opens officially today and early results indicate that it will be the biggest opening day ever for a musical, 45% bigger than the opening day of MAMMA MIA!; the biggest opening day for a Russell Crowe film and the biggest opening day for a Working Title production along with being Universal's 4th biggest opening day of all time.
  16. Of course not.Australia: Where bigger numbers = less reporting!
  17. No, no. $2 for Les Mis. It's going to sell 1/8 of a ticket.
  18. RTH for the love of box office PLEEEEEEEAAAAASE GIVE US NUMBERS!
