  1. Thankfully any movie with genre music (not classical or gospel hymns) music is banned as well (even Christian rock and pop) so it’s banned there as well. The one redeeming factor about the school.
  2. I was thinking more of the crazy lady Snapchat Story I saw from NZ of somebody cleaning out a bloody raw stomach in a cooler. But that too.
  3. So @aabattery, how much worse is it to live in New Zealand versus going to a crazy fundamentalist college like PCC?
  4. There’s a very big difference between being a Christian and being apart of an insane Christian cult thing
  5. Hell, I’d probably go see it just so they’d kick me out.
  6. “Please attend our unaccredited school so we can steal your money, strip away your human rights, and when you graduate leave with a degree that can only land you a job back at our cult program!”
  7. Colors of the Wind is the only really redeeming feature about that movie. Given what the English did to the natives it still doesn’t excuse the Disneyfication of reality.
  8. Also apparently all dates required there to be an “Adult” chaperone (as if they aren’t already adults?)
  9. I did more reading from former students. Some of the stories include students using staring into eyes as a substitute for kissing. Students aren’t allowed off campus unless they’re with 3 other people of the same gender and go to an approved location. And then there’s the more sinister Handmaid’s tale type discrimination A girl there kissed her boyfriend, the next day was taken to the dean’s office, and forced to take a pregnancy test (in a way that made it overly obvious she was being forced to) Girls had to wear pantyhose in order to “avoid blame for rape” and many had UTI’s due to this. Females weren’t allowed to work off-campus, males were. They were also limited with what jobs were approved (usually low paying to unpaid jobs) A girl who was raped was given the blame and punished for it. This is in the US guys, in the present day. WTF.
  10. Out of curiosity I looked up their accredidation. They have some phony one they got in 2011 from an organization that accredits Christian programs. But no state or national accredidation. You’d probably be better off with a degree from Trump U.
  11. WTF I read further, they literally have segregated parking lots and elevators for men and women to avoid physical contact. “No Music is allowed”, “you may not watch a movie with rock music or rated PG-13, R or X”
  12. Lololol I glanced through their code of conduct and wtf. Yikes. They shouldn’t even be allowed to be accredited, that’s signing up for a cult.
  13. I don’t understand how I’ve been oblivious to this, but WTF? Private Universities are actually allowed to ban sex and same-sex relationships for employees? Apparently ACU is adding a new policy to “be more inclusive” that bans student employees from being in a same sex relationship. Although they ‘allow’ non-workers to be in same-sex relationships, as long as no sex is being had. I don’t get how this is constitutional, even for a private business. http://www.bigcountryhomepage.com/news/main-news/acu-president-speaks-out-on-decision-to-ban-same-sex-relationships-for-student-workers/1073679363
  14. Carl’s Jr. is trying way to hard to make spielbergers a thing. I’m glad Spielberg gave them a straight faced no
  15. So, sometimes when I’m bored I like to look at random Snapchat stories from around the world. I decide to look at a few in New Zealand... @aabattery I’m concerned. I looked at the one in the middle of some desert and it was of a sketchy lady in the dark taking a knife and removing things from a stomach into a bloody cooler. WTF man? Why are your people like this?
  16. Even if you add like 4.5m to Shape of Water, it’s somewhat inconsequential. Especially since I reckon around 1-2m of that would have happened anyways. It’s still not enough to bargain for theater revenue cuts, which seems to be their goal.
  17. That means at most around 10 million or so if Black Panther’s BO is from MoviePass. Not insignificant, but nowhere near enough for them to have bargaining power.
  18. All but one of top 8 picks are out, sweet sixteen did not go well for me (only 2 were out prior to this week)
