What will have the best legs (multiplier...note, multiplier will count from a three day OW only)? What will have the smallest opening weekend? Dope What will have the smallest opening day? Dope Name at least two films that will make more than 150 mill Inside Out, Spy
  2. The scenes not supposed to be enjoyable... It's supposed to disgust you, and if you thought marrying Ramsay would give Sansa butterflies and cookies you are extremely ignorant to how he's acted. The scene wasn't necessarily shocking but it was very disturbing, but I don't think the scene was put for no reason. I believe it'll lead to something.
  3. Exactly, much worse has been actually shown on this shown, so I get it was shocking and disturbing (the scene made me shake), but that doesn't necessarily make it poorly written (unless of course there was actually no point in Sansa's character arc, which I don't believe for a second). I also hate how people call the show misogynist, when it's really a realistic portrayal of how society is now. The "feminist complainers" seem to have forgotten that Sansa isn't the only woman in the show, women are key players in the show, but the show is supposed to be a realistic portrayal of medieval society, our society now, and an addition of some fantasy elements. The show does not portray women in a negative or misogynist way because bad things happen to the women too. It's also not like that the women of the show are the only gender that have it rough, every character in the show has it rough. That scene was not condoning rape, but it wasn't denying that sort of rape happens, it was exposing it and making it more relevant to be discussed (since much worse than that happens in our world today). Nobody saw the last scene of tonight's episode and thought anything positive, everyone who watched it was disturbed by what happened. So I don't understand the "glorifying rape" complaints. The complaints and outrage toward the scene make me fairly mad because it's people acting out on their emotions that they were SUPPOSED to feel when they watched the scene. You were disgusted by the scene? Well then the scene sure did do it's job. It's kind of irritating to hear people say, "We don't need THAT in our TV entertainment, but four seasons of castrations, baby killings, torture, mass murders of well-loved characters in brutal ways, skull crushing, etc. is okay and fun."
  4. Yeah, I really don't understand the, "Unnecessary to the plot!" complaints. Was it unnecessary? Nobody knows until the season finishes, there could actually be a point to it, especially since Sansa is taking up Lady Stoneheart's role and Jeyne's role from the books in order to streamline the plot. I feel like this is going to be the episode that causes Sansa to snap and become an actual player.
  5. Twitter is blowing up like crazy. There are are a lot of angry feminists.
  6. So the answers to this week should be 1) Will Pitch Perfect make at least 20 mill more than Mad Max? YES 2) Will Pitch Perfect make more than 49 mill OW? YES 3) Will PP have previews of more than 4 mill? YES 4) Will PP have an OD of more than 17.5 mill? YES 5) Will PP be number one this weekend? YES 6) Will Mad Max open to more than 30 mill? YES 7) Will MM have previews of more than 2 mill? YES 8) Will MM drop more than 25% on Sunday? YES 9) Will Avengers drop more than 45%? YES 10) Will Avengers increase more than 58% on Saturday? YES 11) Will Age of Adeline fall more than 25%? YES 12) Will the top three films combine to make more than 115 mill? YES Question 13: This is an all or nothing question. If you go for it, you must get all four questions right. If you do not go for it, you get 0 points. However, if you do not get perfect on this question, you will lose 20,000 points. Getting it correct means you get 20,000 points. All or nothing. If you are not going to attempt this question, just say #13: Abstain. A) Will MM fall less than 10% on Saturday? NO Will Avengers have a Saturday decrease of less than 51% from last Friday? NO C) Will F7 increase more than 60% on Saturday? YES D) Will Woman in Gold fall more than 12% on Thursday? NO Bonus 1: What finishes is spots: 4 HOT PURSUIT 7 AGE OF ADALINE 8 HOME 11 WOMAN IN GOLD 12 CINDERELLA 2000 each correct, 5000 bonus for all 5 correct. Bonus 2: What will PP and MM combine to make this weekend? 114.7M Bonus 3: What will Avengers make on Sunday? 11.457M
  7. Even with a 70m opening domestically Pitch Perfect 2 could still possibly miss the top 5.
  8. As much as I love the reference, it could help the convenience of scrolling finding predictions if each individual's prediction was under spoiler tags.
  9. People are underestimating Tomorrowland because of their own personal feelings to the trailers. Its tracking to around 50m for the 4 day, so it should pull around 40m for the 3 day.
  10. Tomorrowland is tracking at 50m for the four day so it should at least hit in the low 40s. I doubt PP2 holds that well after a huge opening, especially if the WoM is "Good but not as good as the first"
  11. So Memorial Day will look like? Tomorrowland - 42m Pitch - 36.7m Poltergeist - 30m Age of Ultron - 25.2m Max - 24.5m
  12. A Mad Max: Fury Road B Avengers: Age of Ultron The DUFF Furious 7 Kingsman: The Secret Service The Last 5 Years Pitch Perfect 2 C Chappie Insurgent Jupiter Ascending D Get Hard Mortdecai F Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 Fifty Shades of Grey
  13. It was very effective and everything was done in an exhilarating form. The non-stop loudness left my ears numb, it was furious and went with no stop. Best action movie of the year so far but I didn't fall head over heels for it like a lot of people have. A-
  14. It was thinly plotted, but still funny and entertaining. The best part though was in the credits. B-
  15. It's not necessarily more powerful (they're both fairly equal), but of ccourse when the majority of tentpoles released target males the few female oriented tentpoles will break out.
  16. To get more female appealing movies we also need more females in starring roles and female directed movies.
  17. Mad Max should follow a Kingsman type run, just slightly weaker legs due to harsher competition with San Andreas and Jurassic World looking ahead.
  18. 27.8m is stunning, I was optimistic but not THAT optimistic. Fri: 27.8m Sat: 24.5m Sun: 17.1m Wknd: 69.4m My BSG predict of 185m (which was one of the higher ones) might not be high enough.
  19. None of those are happening. Critical Success =/= Oscar Success
  20. Exactly, I've been calling an opening weekend nearly as large as the firsts domestic gross for a while.
  21. Not necessarily, good reviews does not mean good WoM, especially in a niche genre movie. I mean critically trashed Grown Ups 2 had better legs and a better opening than a well-reviewed Pacific Rim as an example. GA members that aren't huge action fans won't love MMFR like many of the members here though, they may prefer a more accessible pitch perfect 2. Personally I think both will end up with a similar multiplier.
  22. PP 2 low Fri: 22m Sat: 16.5m Sun: 10.7m Wknd: 49.2m Pp2 high Fri: 25m Sat: 22.5m Sun: 16.3m Wknd: 63.8m Guess Fri: 23.5m Sat: 21.1m Sun: 15.6m Wknd: 60.2m
  23. I'd assume if PP2 had a 20m OD it'd be performing similar to neighbors or the Great Gatsby which would get it around 49-53m OW Mid to high teens should get MMFR to around the high 30s to high 40s.
  24. 1.Inside Out 2.Spy 3.Tomorrowland 4.Jurassic World 5.Pixels 6.The Hateful Eight 7.Bridge of Spies 8.Crimson Peak 9.In the Heart of the Sea 10.Minions
