  3. I'm curious about the movie Stalingrad and have been meaning to ask. What is it about and does it have english subtitles? There aren't a lot of english/american movies that delve into Russian history.  What I've seen I've only gathered from other movies like Dr. Zhivago, The Last Station, Enemy at the Gates.

There is no eng subs as far as i know, but movie is kinda contoversial anyway...

If you want to learn history, you better read straight facts( :D) or watch old soviet movies, but again, there are no eng subs for 90%+ russian/soviet films.

There are some published by Criterion: http://www.criterion.com/library/list_view?c=Soviet+Union&p=1&pp=all

Also there are more on Mosfilm youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/mosfilm

Like one of the highly acclaimed war epic "Liberation": http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4dWJMOQ_a1S4rx_eBO4kjNehEg1Jjuee

    Mosfilm VOD - http://cinema.mosfilm.ru/

Greatest comedies in HD with eng subs:

    http://cinema.mosfilm.ru/films/film/1960-1969/kavkazskaya-plennitsa-ili-novie-priklyucheniya-shurika/

I can make a list, if there is a need.

Many soviet/russian movies released here on Blu-ray, but with no subs.

Frozen first day seems weak :(

    It's fine, don't worry :D

Anything over 8m OW basically confirms 22m+ total.

  4. Wow, that looks great for DOFP. Is the poll a good reflection of public interest?

Not amongst General Audience, cause GA don't register on these sites, but yeah, it reflects interest, all movies from the second section are likely to earn more than $20m, but anticipation itself is only a factor, of course, because GA(again) don't anticipate anything except few very big titles-franchises, it's just goes(after seeing commercial, knowing from friend etc.).

  6. My "At Least" Forecast #6 for total gross, December 12th:

    Name; Copies; Total gross $;

    Frozen;  ~1400;  22m

    12 Years a Slave;  ~400;  1,6m

    Odnoklassniki.ru*; ~700; 1,2m

    Polar flight*; ~600; 0,6m

    *Local.

**There is also a bunch of other movies, but their results not worth mentioning at all(less than 0.5m).

I'm keeping my previous prediction for Frozen, but there is a good possibility of 25m+ total, we'll see how it goes.

    Actuals for the previous weekend.

  7. Openers Sunday(ekinobilet):

    1) Frozen - $1,19m+

    2) Isle of Luck* - $725k+

    3) Captain Phillips  - $570k+

    4) Dark World* - $385k+

    5) Diana - $100k+

    *Local

    $570k+ for CF.

Everyone decreased except Frozen - 2,1m+ for the preview 2 days weekend, stop 'n' go for 3 days, and back on track until the end.

  8. how's Filth doing??

Went to see it the 2nd time & was surprised to see quite a # of pp showed up. hopefully the drop will be OK

$120k+ for Sat. according ekinobilet, cume is gonna be over a million, great result, i didn't expect.

& Im really curious abt the copies for DoS

    Kinometro lists as 2000

    isnt it too many?

It may be too small, because first one had like 2128.
