    We also had notfabio's report that it only did marginally better on midnights than TA (about 3500 vs 3300) but actually it destroyed TA's midnights.

    Yes, i can. Twilight is as big as Batman on opening day. New Moon bested TDK's OD record.Btw, the last Twilight did i believe 41m post-midnight, which is less than TDKR.

    $500m is not out of reach when it's opening higher than TDK. We'll have to wait a week or two before declaring anything.

    Well, it is not. But as far as superheroes go, Batman is the most frontloaded (again, i'm talking only about the internal weekend multiplier). If midnights go from 18m to 30m, obviously the post midnight gross wont follow suit (increase by the same percentage).

    Says who?TDK broke the midnight record. It's clearly more frontloded (weekend internal multiplier) than the Marvel movies.

    It's perfectly reasonable. Midnights are bigger (as is the trend with all movies), the post-midnight gross is about the same as TDK. Similar to how the Harry Potters behaved.
