  1. Or not.(well, it'll most likely drop today since it had good midnights; what it'll do in the long run is up in the air)
  2. Snow White was expected to be a masterpiece? *lol*
  3. Nah, Sat will probably be Fri without midnights, 23m at best.
  4. I'm also talking about OS only.I though JC hit around $250m OS, guess i was wrong.
  5. Sure, $250-300m is pretty solid but even a domestic bomb like JC or BS can do that. I'm hoping for like $400m.
  6. Again, Avengers was not huge in most of Europe. Doing less than half of it in some country is nothing to write home about.
  7. I'm not liking some of those numbers. Doing much less than Avengers, which wasn't that big in Europe.
  8. I would be surprised with a 100%+ friday increase for any movie this weekend.
  9. I was aware of some box office feats prior but really following it weekly (daily i should say) i started with the release of Fellowship of the Ring.
  10. Agreed. A high profile actor can help build awareness for movies that usually don't get the attention but for blockbusters, it's the subject and the appeal of the story that matters much more.
  11. Last weekend was great weather. This weekend not so much.
  12. Marketing for Prometheus was on another level compared to John Carter. The color palette doesn't determine success or failure.
  13. Of course it won't. That was pretty much a given after its 2nd weekend.
  14. It did in 7 days as much as it did on its opening (3-4-5-days - depending on the country). Pretty good.
  15. I'll believe it when i see it. Ridley is attached to so many other projects right now and he isn't getting younger. I hope he doesn't waste too much of his time with stuff other than sci-fi, just because i'm a fan of the genre.
  16. The official estimate for SW is $20.3m per BO.com. BOM will have the same number.
