    ScarJo is worthless now anyway. She was always minimally talented but at least she often used her minimal talent (and beauty) in interesting movies by interesting directors. Now all she does is shitty Marvel movies. There's no point to her anymore.

    It will have a long life outside the theatre. It's such a blast and the lead actress is phenomenal.

    Crawl was probably the most fun I had in the theatre this year

    Well yeah, an Aladdin remake we didn't need, a Toy Story sequel we didn't need, another Spider-Man movie we didn't need, an upcoming Lion King remake we don't need but people will force themselves to like, etc.

    I think I liked this better than Hereditary bc it doesnt trip over itself trying to explain the supernatural mythology. It's too long, though, and lags in parts. I also wish it didnt borrow from Wicker Man THAT FREELY. Still, I was on for the ride. B+

    Anything for Midsommar Thursday? (It's nice that Spider-Man is doing well, I guess more speciality divisions like Fox 2000 bringing diverse quality films will shut down in favor of some dumbass in an insect suit swinging from buildings for the 800th time.)

    Borrows from Wicker Man a little too freely but yeah, it shits all over that Marvel garbage.

    I would worry less about Ariel being black and more about Rob Marshall (a hack) being the director.

    TS4 kinda sucked, didnt it? Not surprised it's underperforming.

    How is it a surprise? Mermaid, Beauty, Aladdin and Lion King are the most meaningful Disney nostalgia movies. Their live action remakes are surefire bets. No one grew up on/gives a fuck about Dumbo.
