That's the one thing with Del Toro. He's a wonderful filmmaker, he just seems to be very indecisive in what he wants to make.

There are times in all the trailers and TV spots where the effects looked at least serviceable if not great, other times it looks like Syfy.
They really should have just let Del Toro make 3. You know, once he actually got around to it.

The original film is horror through and through but it did have a bit of a cheeky side to it.
So, if it's in the movie,

Well Pet Sematary is one of King's most iconic novels, alongside Shining and It. I believe Shazam will open first place, but I wouldn't be surprised if Pet Sematary has a strong opening in its own right.

Well this was visually outstanding to look at. Really enjoyed it and liked that it did branch out a little not make it an exact carbon copy (which is like 60 minutes or so) Shame it's seemingly under performing.
I've noticed that CG elephants in films seem to look really good (Jungle Book, Legend of Tarzan, Dumbo, even that Netflix Mowgli). They're becoming the new digital primates.
My only mild complaint is that they should have at least giving Timothy the mouse (who has three scenes) a larger role than what it had. They could have even kept him silent.
SpoilerHalf expected the circus troupe to release the animals in Nightmare Island so they could EAT that creepy bald guy.
