  1. Excel lives in his own fantasy world we can barely comprehend. Just let him do his weird little thing and he'll tire himself out eventually.

  3. I know that The Quorum is still an up-in-the-air source for many, but Lost City's already got 40% awareness more than a month out. That's well ahead of every February movie sans Uncharted, so it's pretty good stuff. It's also got a good premise and good starpower a la Free Guy/House of Gucci and SXSW to back it up.
  4. It's another one of those lame Liam Neeson action vehicles nobody cares about. I miss when the guy did actually interesting projects.

  6. This is of course a sight unseen response and I'm sure a trailer will change my mind, but I don't see Elvis as a breakout. Even disregarding the "older auds not returning" issue, which is still valid, I'm not really sure Elvis as a figure is something people care about anymore. You don't really hear his stuff on the radio, even on throwback stations, and my exposure as a kid to him was mainly parodies of him in cartoons, not really a big shining, positive light. If anything, the cultural appropriation aspect of Elvis' music makes the whole thing feel even more dated. Acts like NWA and Queen are still big deals even to people who weren't born in their heydays and you had Ice Cube/Dr. Dre/Brian May still alive and active in the biz and promoting their films like crazy.

  8. The NFL moving the Super Bowl down a weekend to mid-February bugs the crap out of me, especially because it's now going to ruin Valentine's Day grosses forever. So utterly stupid.
  9. https://deadline.com/2022/02/jo-koy-easter-sunday-movie-moving-to-late-summer-1234927166/ Comes out August 5 now...an Easter movie...in the summer...okay.
  10. WARNING: The stunts in this movie were performed by professionals. So neither you nor your dumb buddies should attempt anything from this movie.
  11. I'll never forget when my mom took 10-year-old me to see Dark Knight. The complex emotions I had walking out were tremendous...though I'll fully admit 10-year-old me was a gigantic wuss, so that probably played a part in me being freaked out by the film.
  12. For any artiste, you have to make some sacrifices for the greater good.
  13. My mom and I still talk about how much of a trainwreck Smash was and how bad of an actor Katharine McPhee was. A total embarrasment. To be fair, the entire US Republican party consists of either evil Neo-Nazi supremacists who are really good manipulators, and anti-intellectual idiots who fall for anything if it has a good catchphrase and has some made-up "elitist" boogeyman to go after. Joe Rogan is a mixture of both that can represent the everyman and a gateway to fascist dogma. Helps that he also has Hollywood connections, meaning vapid, wealth-obsessed idiots like The Rock and RDJ are still chummy with that asshat. And also Rogan has capitalism at its side, since Spotify and YouTube thrive off of grifters like him and Steven Crowder. I know this is gonna strike a nerve for some people here, but I have to say the truth sometimes, even if it hurts. For the record, Democrats are dumbasses too for being complicit in all this, barely lifting a finger against these evil sons of bitches, and even rehabilitating somebody as despicable as George W. Bush.
