I feel like you guys are taking Forky and this movie a little too seriously.

We have a poster named @EmpireCity who works in the industry. He mentioned the Aladdin footage he saw at CinemaCon was terrible. Of course, it's not the final product, and things can change in the span of a few months. FWIW, @ViewerAnon, who gets word about how films are doing in test screenings and the like, has heard that the movie's just a'ight. And of course, these are just two people. We'll have no idea if the movie will be good for months.

Both Dumbo and Aladdin have different circumstances. Dumbo is likely much cheaper than Aladdin, and most people have higher expectations on Aladdin largely due to Beauty and the Beast.

As long as he gets drunk later in the movie, I'm satisfied.

I actually liked it more than most critics and people here. There's some really fun animation, and Cumberbatch is clearly having a great time voicing the character. It also has a really nice heart that gives the movie a cozy feeling. Also Pharell needs to do more narrating.

It's like how in the Jem movie, they apparently had old home videos of Jem playing with My Little Pony toys, only the toys are from the most recent incarnation of the property.
