  1. I edited the title lol. And for the record EC, this is just a joke. I’m having fun. It’s something silly. Please do not give me a lecture over this
  2. You could also just watch and support already existing LGBT movies made by actual LGBT filmmakers instead of asking a faceless company that cares little about the community to give you representation. That's a good strategy too.

  6. Yes there is. It's an objective fact that everything is better when you add gayness to it. Make everything gay. Every single all the things.
  7. Honestly they haven't part of the time. I might have missed them or forgot, but I don't think I saw any articles prior to the release of Onward or Jungle Cruise or Cruella hyping up their gay characters. I never saw Disney make a grand press release about them or promote them in their movie. I learned about Onward after the first press screenings came out, Jungle Cruise over insider tea that was not picked up by the major trade, and Cruella was a legit surprise for me. Obviously they do this sometimes, but I feel like a lot of people, mainly alt-right grifters, make things a bigger deal than they actually are.

Whoops! But I still recorded yesterday and today seperately, and better late then never.
  11. Disregarding a lot of the dog whistles here on how "ohhhh Republicans hate the gays. They're losing a market" is just blatant bigotry (sorry, but it is), if you want to look at things from a business/marketing perspective, that doesn't make a lick of sense. This year, Gallup's US support for same-sex marriage is at 71%: https://news.gallup.com/poll/393197/same-sex-marriage-support-inches-new-high.aspx Last year's was 70%, with 55% of Republicans polled approving same-sex marriage: https://news.gallup.com/poll/350486/record-high-support-same-sex-marriage.aspx So frankly, capitulating to people who are anti-LGBT would alienate a majority consumer base. And sure, maybe some of the people who are fine with it think it's "too much" for children, but I think that's a very sharp minority of people who said "yes", and don't really give a damn about this culture war stuff being brought on by alt-right grifters. So don't even try with this stuff. Thank you.
  12. Well there's the problem: I'm not trolling, nor do I even say these "everything is going streaming" posts on a consistent basis. In fact, my "RIP Disney animated movies in theaters" post is something that I did once and only once. I have said Lightyear is going to streaming, but this was just an educated guess based off the information given. Something that everybody here has done before. That wasn't me joking or trying to deliberately troll and go after people. I also don't warn everybody for zero reason like you are claiming I do. I let people like CJohn post things here all the time that people will disagree with or may be controversial. This is a discussion forum, so people are allowed to discuss and say things people will disagree with. The only times I will stop somebody is if they are intentionally being mean towards another user, say something inflammatory or offensive, are going super off-topic, or just have a really bad history behind them and are known for trolling. I am far from a perfect mod, and I have screwed up many times before, but I am not somebody who abuses their power or goes hog wild on others because I can. And even in the instances I screw up, I get told off by another staff member over my actions and I improve myself from there. This is why there are multiple staff members for checks and balance purposes. I'll stop this whole convo from here, but I just really wanted to clarify everything, because I felt it was necessary that I give my case towards everything and that I'm not trying to abuse my power nor try to ruin other people's time on the forums.
  13. I remember him best as the boyfriend in the final season of the Nickelodeon series Zoey 101. When I saw Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and thought the name was familiar, my jaw was on the floor when I discovered he was in half the kid sitcoms I watched growing up.
  14. No. I said inflation is hurting the box office and that Disney will probably skip theatrical for some of their animated movies. Still agree with those statements in fact, no matter how "wrong" I might be.
  15. These kinds of "OMG THESE KIDS ARE DOOMED" posts always grind my gears. Who cares if that's how a kid watches something? Do you think that's the only way they ever watch movies? I watched movies on a tiny screen during car drives. I turned out just fine and the movie industry didn't collapse onto itself. The way people watch movies will always change, and it's not something to get super upset about.
