  1. Because I don't think it's impossible. I don't think a shift in voting, a strongarm towards populist films, or other such scenarios isn't out of the question. Unlikely scenario? Sure, but I personally, subjectively don't think it's impossible. Sorry!
  2. Look it's either this movie wins or No Way Home the Snyder Cut. The former will spread the word of a wholesome family classic, the other will cause the universe to explode. It's your choice. I mean the Emmy Awards did bounce back from the 2020 ceremony. The bigger issue here is more that the nominees, and specifically the winners like Queen's Gambit and The Crown, were some of the most popular and discussed shows ever for that year. Like not even on Twitter, but in general out in the wild. And for the Oscars for this year, that's not really the case at all. That's why I've been saying that the Academy will probably just give up and give all the Best Picture nominees next year to Avatar 2 and Lightyear and Doctor Strange 2, etc. just to save the ratings, even if it kills their credibility

  4. I mean...good for them, they're all funny people, but it feels like a weird amalgamation of hosts and none of them will do a thing to boost ratings. Again, it really feels like ABC/AMPAS want to fail here.
  5. Again, this is why it's necessary for us that we all support Clifford the Big Red Dog here as the #OscarsFanFavorite. Get your tweets out ladies and gentlemen!
  6. I'm already on the case. Please go on Twitter and tweet out "#OscarsFanFavorite Clifford the Big Red Dog" to support my campaign and a delightful film that is family fun for all the family. Do it 20 times a day if possible!

  10. Prediction time: Keke Palmer's an alien or at least part of the abduction. Her wearing green in front of a green screen and stumbling on how many "greats" her grandfather has makes me think something is up.
  11. Been telling y'all for a while that audiences have given up on anything that ain't cheap thrills. Anything that isn't designed to sell toys or start a shared universe is too pretentious for them. It was a slow burn of course, but 2021 was the nadir, the period where nothing finds success, and there's no turning back anymore. It'll only get worse from here, especially when the Academy gives up and forces themselves to nominate all the populist blockbusters to stay relevant.
