  1. @Morieris Some Disney dude name-dropped Artemis Fowl in the Disney investor day thingy.
  2. AK Valley probably needs to do some maintenance stuff with his tracker. No biggie
  3. @TalismanRing already posted this stuff, but I'm gonna go into a little more detail here. I don't care about this weekend's openers (also next weekend's openers), so let's just do some of the summer offerings. Movie/Time Monday Tuesday Wednesday Avengers: Endgame 28,434 23,630 25,480 18 days 17 days 16 days Detective Pikachu 1,329 30 days John Wick 3 99 59 56 39 days 38 days 37 days Endgame Day 17-16 203% of Black Panther (410.5M) Day 22-16 283% of Infinity War (729.7M) 1076% of Captain Marvel (1.6B) Cumulative 80% of Infinity War (206M) 244% of Captain Marvel (374.2M) Business as usual, but at least with the cumulative, we finally have a half-decent range, even if it's super wide. Pikachu Day 30 31% of Infinity War (80.7M) 992% of Dragon 3 (545.7M) 78% of Captain Marvel (119.9M) First day of presales 22% of Captain Marvel (34.1M) 171% of Dumbo (78.7M) 145% of Shazam (77.4M) As always, one day of presales is not indicative of a trend and should be taken with a grain of salt. But so far, this is doing quite good, and hitting 1,000 tickets on the first day is still an achievement. I'm not gonna bother with John Wick just yet, because both of the previous movies took a lot of time as is.
  4. I legit don't get what Drafthouse is on about. Not only has RT's Twitter reported on rotten scores for Disney movies before (almost as if that's part of the job and what the website is for or something. I know, shocking), but their logic of "people worked hard on it, so you can't say it's bad" is one of the most pathetic excuses to deflect criticism on something. Son of the Mask had people working hard on the project, but it's still a bad movie. Then again, a theater owned by Tim League defending an Avi Lerner production is fitting in a way.
  5. Also, maybe this is just my area, but it's not only AMC theaters having tickets available. AMC-heavy sure, but there are a few Regals and Studio Movie Grills and Movie Taverns with showtimes up around me.

  8. So after just perusing Fandango, waiting until Pikachu tickets go on sale, I noticed a couple of things. John Wick has tickets on sale...well, it seems to be only a handful of theaters, since there's only one theater in my area availalbe, but I checked akvalley, and they seem to have gone on sale this past Monday. I'm a little unsure of tracking this one just yet (depends on the demand from y'all), but that's cool I guess. Also, Secret Life of Pets 2 has showtimes posted, but not available for purchase yet. I don't know why they would have them posted so early, but whatever. I'm definitely tracking that.
  9. https://deadline.com/2019/04/cannes-jim-jarmusch-zombie-movie-dead-dont-die-bill-murray-open-festival-1202592665/ Opening film for Cannes. I don't know the track record of previous openers, but I'm going to assume this is good.
  10. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/wonder-movie-coming-broadway-as-musical-1200416 I mean...sure, I guess?

  12. I'm probably going to get yelled at by TOG and TMP for this, but I'm legitimately curious and interested about Disney+. At the very least, I'm interested to see at least a trailer for a few of their TV shows.
