  2. I love ATLA, but I feel like Mike and Bryan should move on and make something new and unrelated to the Avatar universe. Like I know that Korra ended like four years ago, but I feel like I've already gotten my fix with that world and characters. When Netflix announced they were doing the live-action Avatar show, I just kinda rolled my eyes. They're talented and creative guys, and I think they can deliver another amazing non-Avatar product. They shouldn't be straddled with doing the same thing again. Also live-action adaptations of cartoons are a dumb and bad idea

  5. Han...the article literally says "Contrary to prior reports, the movie is not a musical"
  6. Competition. Its fourth weekend had The Last Jedi making 220M, and to a lesser extent Ferdinand as a direct competitor. Then the following weekend had Jumanji and lost a third of its theaters. By comparison, Moana's fourth weekend only had Rogue One making 155M. The following weekend only had Sing and lost only a quarter of its theaters.
  7. Also of note, Free Solo crossed the $10M mark, meaning we've had four documentaries this year hit double digits. Even cooler is that it wasn't the D'Souza or Moore joints.
  8. Y'all really want this to turn into the fanboy wars thread, huh? Y'all really got nothing better to do?
  9. https://skylershuler.blogspot.com/2018/11/exclusive-pixar-announces-brand-new.html DISCLAIMER: The author here has gotten insider access to Disney in the past, and I believe a few rumors he has started ended up being true. But of course, please take this whole thing with a grain of salt, as this is all just rumors.
  10. I think the main reason they pushed for Wrinkle instead of CR is because Disney thought they could push all their movies to 100M. By the time Christopher Robin could have gotten help through fudging, Nutcracker utterly flopped, so Disney had no incentive to keep their film going.
  11. Jumanji and Greatest Showman didn't have previews either. And considering this is a high-profile release, I would expect they would have up at least some Tuesday shows by now if Disney was going to do them.
  12. There aren't any previews for Poppins. Outside of a fan event, which are only in a few theaters, it's not getting any previews on Tuesday.
