  1. I'm pretty sure Jumanji didn't have previews. As for the Prime stuff, I feel like that's being excluded from HT3's preview, as Deadline would probably specify something like "That $2.6M includes the $1.3M that was generated June 29 through Amazon Prime advance screenings," like they did for Ocean's 8 with their AMC Dolby exclusive screening.
  2. Hotel Transylvania 3 380 2308 16.46% Skyscraper 60 1548 3.88% HT3 Comps: 106% of Coco ($54.1M) 292% of Ferdinand ($39.2M) 190% of Jumanji ($68.7M) 248% of Paddington 2 ($27.3M) 112% of Peter Rabbit ($28M) 369% of Sherlock Gnomes ($39.1M) 15% of Incredibles 2 ($27.2M) Although most of my comps are pointing to something in the high 20s, but I feel that's way too low, and doesn't correlate with Pulse and MT, so probably something around the Ferdinand/Gnomes comp, maybe higher. Skyscraper Comps: 167% of The Foreigner ($21.9M) 30% of Jumanji ($10.8M) 193% of 12 Strong ($30.6M) 102% of Death Wish ($13.2M) 54% of Tomb Raider ($12.7M) 70% of Pacific Rim ($19.6M) 28% of Ready Player One ($11.6M) 49% of Rampage ($17.4M) 250% of Sicario 2 ($47.5M)
  3. Controversy? EDIT: Never mind, I forgot about the whole Roseanne thing.
  4. This isn't the Pure Flix one. This is a separate project based on the same event, but with a different creative team.
  5. Trashmerica doesn't deserve to see Amanda Seyfried's beauty on the largest possible screen.
  6. I was messing around on Fandango a minute ago, and I saw that a couple of the theaters nearby are having screenings for this film a week in advance on the 27th. Is that the case for anyone else?
  7. I still don't get why Jack Black's only doing the voice of Slappy in this. He just got a second wind of goodwill from Jumanji, but instead of Sony capitalizing on that, he's just relegated to a voice role with a bunch of no-name kids as the stars? At the very least, Sony should have kept 13 Reasons Why fresh off the success of that show.
  8. Crazy jump, especially compared to 2012, the last time July 4 was on a Wednesday. Of course, this was long before Discount Tuesdays were a thing, but still. http://www.boxofficemojo.com/daily/chart/?sortdate=2012-07-09&p=.htm
