I saw Beale Street last night, and while walking out, I overheard someone talking about how they got kinda bored by it because "a lot of it is just pictures of faces". I started to scream internally
(btw @Morieris Beale Street is good as hell. Hope you find a theater that's playing it soon. )
Just wanted to say that I always appreciate your weekend predictions every Sunday. You haven't done them recently, but I'm happy to see it return again.
Interesting factoid: They Shall Not Grow Old is the fifth 2018 documentary to cross $10M. Is that a record?
And none of these movies were nature, concert, or political docs (well, RBG is arguably an exception, but it's not really a Moore/D'Souza kind of movie). Pretty cool stuff
That's not even the strangest line in the movie. It's on Amazon right now, so I implore everyone to see it. It's truly a mesmerizing experience that will make you say a record "huh?" and "wuh?" throughout
Honestly, that OW sounds about right. It's very similar to what Cinderella got a couples years ago. I do think the legs seem pretty weak though. I feel like a 3.2 or 3.3 multiplier sounds about right
For the record, this is why I didn't vote.
There's so many movies that I have even a mild interest in that I feel like my ballot would have been incomplete. Why I never really like end-of-the-year lists to begin with.
