For some reason, they doubled Daddy's Home 2 showtimes from 4 to 8, even though Orient Express has been selling more at the same point in time. Wonder has seen a pretty big boost as I mentioned earlier, and looks to benefit from being the first PG film since My Little Pony. Coco just started selling tickets today, so that's why the presales numbers are so low.
Anecdotal, but while I was looking at the tickets sold at my theater last night, the Friday 6:30 PM showing had 74 out of 96 tickets sold, only barely behind the Justice League 7:30 PM showing. Saturday and Sunday look decent as well.

An interesting article about Tiffany Hadish and the possibility of her getting an Supporting Actress Oscar. I don't see it happening, but it was enjoyable to read.
I feel glad I'm not alone in thinking that. Maybe it's just low expectations, but I thought some of it was kinda cute and not the trainwreck the American teaser made it out to be. James Corden still looks obnoxious though.

Ava DuVernay’s standing with the journalists and the Disney boycott. Good.
Just stay for the trailers, then leave for the short, then come back 15 to 20 minutes later. In that time, go to the bathroom, get some popcorn, check Twitter, do whatever.
I'm glad to see the film has become such a sleeper hit, especially since it's been overshadowed by more star-driven arthouse flicks. Hopefully, I'll have time next week to see it before it eventually disappears from my theater.
