Godzilla vs Kong might have a shot at 300m domestically if marketed good.

Shape of Water is slowly having a pretty great run.

Remember the first fifty shades movie when you saw the gals hairy legs?

Paradox
New film will be called Cloverfield Zombies

So... To me, Cloverfield Paradox is basically telling us to ignore the ARG. The original film had a MASSIVE ARG, but it does not line up with what Paradox is telling us.

what else is there to tell?
That's not for me to decide... But obviously can do more with Giant Monsters. It's obvious they're continuing to use the original to "trick" people to continue watching these films. You want to make these weird "sorta connected" films.. fine, but at least give us a true continuation of the first film thrown in!
-
Why don't they just make a true sequel to the original film... Like seriously, why not?

I think it's a fair projection from pro.BO. Previous one did 309m OS. Unless this one explodes in China I think 200m OS for 250 WW.
This will probably make 200m in China alone.

Lol... Well it can only improve from that... Correct?

It'll have to because Domestically it may not make $75m.
Curious what the budget for this was

Some of y'all are WAAAAY over exaggerating. This film doesn't capture the excitement of the first, but definitely doesn't look bad.
This is going to do extremely well overseas.

Godzilla 2 is one of those sequels I completely forget is coming
Well, it has been 5 years. Luckily I think it'll have a different tone.. which will help it.

Umm sorry I’m not mature enough to appreciate bestiality. I guess thats where liberal tolerance had to go next? Lol.
You think that is what the film was? Did you not watch it? Serious question.

Nobody said that, let alone me. I definitely thought it would hit a 3.5x, based on historical data. So what? So did many people.
Shape of Water blew, sorry but if I wanted to watch bestiality I would be on PornHub.
Grow up.

Watched THE SHAPE OF WATER yesterday. A great film for sure. Liked it more than TLJ.

Jurassic World, and the Godzilla/Kong universe, have made monsters cool again. So while Pacific Rim's mediocre performance back in 2012 would suggest no sequel, the time may just be right. With, hopefully, a cheaper budget.
I think it made 100M domestically in 2012? I still don't see a huge increase in that...130-140...but overseas has grown exponentially since 2012 .
Boyega, could help. Didn't help much in the low budget films he's been in since TFA :)...but he's in a sci-fi setting here.
411 WW for the original? I could see 500-550 WW. It won't set the WW box office on fire, but it will make a decent profit in theaters, before heading to the home market.
I like your optimism, but the domestic take will most likely be dramatically lower than PR1. I can see a increase internationally though.

Big mistake by Universal and LP not having the trailer attached to Last Jedi.

By “bomb,” you mean 400M or so domestically?
Solo is not making more than 350m. Which is obviously a great number... But not for this Star Wars era.
-
Solo is going to BOMB next year. Too much negative for TLJ it's crazy.

Just imagine if Disney went after WB.

Zomg, Cyclops might actually be done right.
