  1. but... but... it's not full of jump scares! It's not scary! Therefore NOT a real horror film!
  2. I watched graham norton the other night and by the looks of it, very possible that Bryce Dallas Howard's character eats all the dinosaurs. So that would be quite a big spoiler.
  3. I bet baumer also thinks The Shining isn't a horror film. I agree with johnnygossamer it's really weird how some horror fans object to anything in the genre that doesn't appeal specifically to them.
  4. life is there to be lived. No point wasting around being as healthy as possible if it means you miss out on fun stuff. It's all within sensible limits though... although I think stuff in festivals can be pretty dodgy. Have tried getting hold of some before I go to smuggle in but don't think I'm going to manage it. Will just have to try find the most trustworthy person to buy from. There have been a few deaths in the news in the past couple weeks from festivals, puts me a bit on edge but I'm sure it will all be fine.
  5. you think that's bad, I'm going for 5 days to a festival this week. I will probably die. Can't wait!
  6. took so much ecstasy this weekend. And now I'm at work I would quite like to just go back to sleep.
  7. Good film. Not sure how it would have helped. I went with Bernie. Because Bernie is always the answer. It just relaxes me.
  8. I am SO pissed off. Went to a gig tonight, got on really well with this girl, she asked me to come home with her... And when we get to the flats a security guard finds me and drags me out because I don't live there. I am so FUCKED OFF. What film should I watch to cool me down / let me vent my anger? Honestly could hit someone right now.
  9. Wooow 725k is pathetic. Not surprising though, that a film opens to terrible numbers when there is a STAR WARS behemoth in release. Of course everything else is getting crushed.
  10. Damn. Made it 8 minutes in before I got too hysterical, at, "First of all, this character [Holdo] should obviously have been Mon Mothma or someone else the audience actually has an emotional connection to"
  11. Thanks for the recommendation! I love these videos, they are addictive.
  12. Right now, in a market where franchises are releasing multiple films in the same year... nostalgia feels fresh. Nostalgia sells. Top Gun is one of, if not the most, iconic roles of Tom Cruise.
  13. 3 May - Avengers 10 May - Pikachu 24 May - Aladdin 24 May - Minecraft 31 May - Godzilla 7 June - X Men Gambit 7 June - Secret Life of Pets 14 June - Men in Black 21 June - Toy Story 4 5 July - Conjuring 5 July - Spider-Man 12 July - Top Gun 19 July - Lion King 2 August - X Men New Mutants 2 August - Fast & Furious 9 Assuming those release dates hold... that's a very busy summer. Disney does have all the biggest films though. Although this May has been busy, the summer as a whole is really not that bad. Not as bad as 2016 where all the franchises released everything and it just kind of caved in on itself like a chain reaction and everything flopped.
  14. The club was not crazy you are correct, but after a 3.8M weekday it only needs 23M more to get past 250M. I would be interested to know any films that had a 3.5M+ Wednesday and then went on to gross under 23M more.
  15. It's more that, if you watch a film and you start noticing dumb technical things then clearly the narrative of the film is not engaging you. Also it was just a remark, it's not like bad greenscreen makes it a bad film. It's a bad film because it doesn't make any sense, is way too long, and has awful generic dialogue between characters. The actors are the only thing holding it up and even some of them are not great. There's a reason Andy Garcia steals every single scene he's in, and that's because he is the only actor who understands the material hes been given and has some fun with it, the others look extremely bored. It is a dull, soulless timewaste.
  16. Jurassic World opened to 231.8M then the following weekend Inside Out opened to 100.4M (adjusted for inflation.)
  17. I also think there's a novelty factor in the first one and you have to be a genuine fan of the first to go see the second... similar to Deadpool actually which had a big decline.
  18. Yes it's gonna be huge doesn't mean its gonna be top 10 biggest of all time.
  19. Valkyrie is not action but thriller with action in it, I guess? American Made is not an action movie btw.
  20. Am I the only person who doesn't think Mamma Mia 2 will outgross Mamma Mia? The first was so big I dont see why it will get an increase...?
