  1. Yes plays one of the rollerball players. He's in it for like a single shot.
  2. you just got me googling about BR and found an article from the other day where the BR editor has said he is embarrassed by his work lmao.
  3. Maybe, but to be fair editing is the easiest job in making a film, any old idiot can do it.
  4. Was a rhetorical question. There's no doubt its quite obviously paid for article. That film must be utter crap. I know I won't watch it when it doesn't come to a theater near me!
  5. You don't need to give back to anyone. Fuck 'em.
  6. Why does that article read like a paid promotion?
  7. Yeah it has really slowed up a bit, for majority of the franchise's lifespan it was one every two years, sometimes consecutive years, and whenever Never Say Never Again came out there was two bond films in one year. it's kind of an odd one really because it's the one series which isn't really changing for modern times and TBH it feels rather old and out of date. That being said the interest is clearly there, Skyfall and Spectre were massive hits way bigger than the few before that.
  8. I wrote 70m initially then changed it. Now that is a truly terrible rating system if there ever was one.
  9. isn't that better than a critic quote? Every single film regardless of how badly it was received, can put a great positive critic quote on the poster/advert.
  10. some certain members of this forum got a bit carried away with predictions. I can't say I can think of another horror film with 60M+ opening that dropped less than 50%.
  11. I don't know anything about Us tbh but its important to think, a big drop doesn't mean it's not well liked. films can be frontloaded because people really want to see it and it burns through its target audience early on. for extreme eexample - Harry Potter finale dropped 72% in second weekend and that was a well loved film.
  12. I think Idris Elba would be a great Bond but i am 99% sure he had counted himself out of the race?
  13. I know, and I agree with you to an extent, i just think it's delusional if anyone actually seriously thinks it would happen. and yes when everyone and their nan was asking for Tom Hiddleston to be james bond that was a strange thought. I'm glad we have moved past that. personally think Alden E should get a second chance and he should be offered the job.
  14. problem is in this increasingly franchise-driven world, making new stuff is something studios are scared of doing.
  15. you won't get Henry Golding in a million years, there's more chance of female james bond than Asian james bond.
  16. I keep my car antics to the race track. I live near to Santa Pod it's very easy to get to. Why race on the streets when you have Europe's best drag race strip around the corner. Not to mention you get to see some crazy cool cars. One guy rocked up yesterday with a 1950s VW campervan with a jet engine strapped to its back...
  17. Ah, you are right, I didn't notice Missing Link on the calendar. I just looked at BOM schedule and thought there were no kids films coming out until Pikachu.
  18. I went down to the drag strip yesterday. Had a great day racing my car, it is so nice to actually go out and do something that's not drinking or using drugs. I need to do this more often.
  19. I don't really get the whole "re releases don't count". Someone bought a ticket to see it in the cinema. Why does it matter if they did it on day 1 or day 50 or day 5000 of release. You think if there was a rerelease of the biggest film of 15 years ago, which was Shrek 2, you think Shrek 2 rerelease would add hundreds of millions of dollars? Its a credit to the film that people will still pay to rewatch it in cinema after all this time - or equally that it can attract new audiences despite being old.
  20. I wouldn't say BATB is a great comparison because it had such a huge opening, would expect it to be more like cinderella but I don't know how audiences are liking it
  21. Dumbo opens to 45M and only makes 124M? That seems unlikely for a kids film, bear in mind there's no other family films coming out soon I don't think.
  22. I have not seen the numbers but I would expect due to weather all films to be down a bit this weekend.
  23. hope he can stay that way, its extremely difficult to stop once you are suckered in by it Well, I dont know why you would lump weed in with more serious drugs. But yes alcohol and tobacco are #1 and #2 for most lethal drugs in terms of number of deaths. (obviously a lot more people drink and smoke than take illegal drugs but still)
