  1. Teaser released in September Year 5.An extended part of the intro to this song (the bit before the drums kick in) begins to play *ArkLight Pictures logo appears**a man is running through a metallic corridor, the camera keeps close to him and shakes, giving the sensation of claustrophobia and being pursued**we can see he is tightly clutching the handle of a suitcase which he runs with*Voiceover: We are nothing but a present from a small, distant world, a token of our sounds, our science, our images, our music, our thoughts and our feelings...*the man runs past a corridor with windows, as the camera goes through them (while facing him and we can still he's still running along the corridor*Voiceover: We only try to survive past our time....so that we may live into yours.*the music swells as the drums kick in, and the camera pans back to reveal the windows are on the side of a massive, massive space ship floating nearby a gas giant**the camera pans back quicker and quicker, as it passes the gas giant's moon, other planets, then zooms out of the solar system and pans back quicker and quicker past other stars, then out of the whole galaxy where the camera lingers for a second on the spectacular image of the galaxy glittering with stars**the camera pans back even further and between the V of three giant metallic 3D letters that appear to be hanging in space: EVE**the music stops and the camera goes black**YEAR 6*
  2. I'm claiming July 4th weekend Year 8 (opening on Tuesday July 3rd, same date as the first Transformers) for the EVE sequel, depending on how the first one does.
  3. This. And this thread is also only for MAJOR blockbusters, not films you think might do 100m with a bit of luck.
  4. I was aware of a couple of those but it won't be based on one of those. It's a bit like what I did with Ravnica (minus including all the Urza stuff which was kind of destroying the MTG canon lol) where I just take the world, some plotlines and respect the races and whatnot but make it a bigger and more epic story. Alliances will definitely come into play though, but it will be more focused on the races and empires and have a bigger story related to New Eden as a whole. Do you play EVE btw? I used to play a while ago (like, years...) and then stopped...but I always thought the universe was great and a good film could come out of it.
  5. Replace The World of Tomorrow with EVE. Directed by the Wachowski Bros., it's a sci-fi EPIC based on the MMORG.
  6. Nova was from Year 25 and while the universe it took place in was kind of generic, I still haven't gotten down to re-writing it so it will change significantly and definitely won't be just another post-apocalypse movie. Don't judge before you read, in the same way I won't judge your Steve Jobs biopic before I read it despite some.....questionable......information and excerpts you've provided.
  7. It's about Earth in the future, where most people barely survive in the ravaged surface of Earth which has been devastated by war, climate change, pollution, etc while a few elites live in giant floating cities in the sky. The plot revolves around one of these cities being bombed by a group of extremists down below. It's a "re-imagining" of a film I made in the original CAYOM which was called Nova.
  8. Not this mess popping up again
  9. What, in terms of the date? No, World of Tomorrow is staying where it is.
  10. I claim the rights to any film based on the music of Bruce Springsteen.
  11. Oh. I'll use Alejandro Gonzáles Iñárritu then.
  12. I'm only playing, I love everybody. :arms:I don't mean to be a bitch...mostly.
  13. I may be going forward with End of the Wicked, a film about modern-day witch hunts in Nigeria directed by Phillip Noyce, if I get the time to do it which would give me 2 Oscar contenders (the other is Marco Polo).
  14. My angel, if I'm a child in this game you're not even a fetus. Let's hope Steve Jobs isn't a stillborn next year.
  15. You can cry all you want but you're not going to be able to use Metroid.
  16. You are the one who needs to take a seat and stop acting like they own the game when you've been playing for one (??) year. It's great you like the game but take it easy and remember there are people here who've done this way longer. Respect other people's franchises and don't throw insults around when someone doesn't do what you want.
  17. What do you mean "I'll have Metroid planned"? As in you want to make a Metroid film yourself? Because that's not happening. I'll get to it when I get to it, if I get to it, and you'll have to accommodate, if I even let you use the character.
  18. Since someone was making MTG films, when it comes to Magic The Gathering I own the following:RavnicaLorwynShards of AlaraKamigawaI think some of these worlds made appearances in the first Planeswalkers film...I wasn't here so that's fine, but I'd ask whoever it was that was making those films not to focus too much on these worlds in the next ones because I might revisit those franchises, especially Kamigawa which was the least successful/acclaimed in the old CAYOM and therefore has the most room for improvement...plus I totally white-washed it by casting Tobey Maguire as the lead in the middle of an all-Asian cast, lol. Cultural appropiation, etc. My plan in the old CAYOM was to eventually do a film that spanned all those different universes with the second Alara film, but then the forums got deleted...damn you BOM admins...It should be noted I did not claim all those in the span of 10 minutes, but over literally decades of game years, and no one had adapted MTG before I did.
  19. I'm sorry but did Alpha just claim SEVEN Nintendo franchises? Like, are we allowed to do that?I'm willing to let Metroid appear in an all-inclusive Nintendo universe film but only after I've released a stand alone Metroid film...my issue would be that the Nintendo universe film would be the first iteration of Samus instead of my own film. I'd also have to approve the final version of the film and maybe make some changes to how Samus is portrayed.
  20. Biopics should have a dramatic backbone and not be just a description of the person's life...so whatever part of his childhood contributes more to the dramatic focus you're giving the film.
  21. Omg that reminds me, I so want to do my E! Red Carpet Oscar specials again where people sent in trailers and interviews and things to promote their movies.
  22. Me and Magpie went head to head several years...Year 34 for example (I had Lorwyn 2 and Marilyn both nominated but he won with The False Goddess).
  23. Those films were #1 on the Critical Consensus, so no. I do remember Crusader blocked Chains that Bind from #1 and The White Tomb might have blocked Live and Let Burn (or whatever it was called) from #1 (I can't remember if that or Succession was #2), so I think it's a case of "Ueka not being able to cope with being beaten".
