Jurassic Park has never been untouchable IP outside of the first one and the still somewhat inexplicable mega breakout of Jurassic World. Jurassic Park III wasn't even that big in 2001. Based on how the two trilogies are performing, the pattern seems to be a MASSIVE first film, then big declines with each sequel.

Tom is really a fantastic actor. He brings a visceral intensity to his roles that few others can replicate, while remaining relatable and charming.

If it's set in 1984, wouldn't it be anti-communist? Maybe "Anti-totalitarian" should be the blanket label and that way they can set the sequels in any point in history. There is always an evil dictator at some point.

Well Twilight, as awful as it is (and notice how it's already forgotten and irrelevant), became a proper cultural phenomenon and joined the ranks of mega franchises. No shame in not exceeding it.

Darth Vader has been in SEVEN movies. We know his whole story. What more could they possibly tell? It would be another empty cash grab.

Oh wow this is a HORRIBLE drop. No way it reaches $200m now; Incredibles/Jurassic World will be a 1-2 punch to kill any late legs. Even without the reshoots this would be a big fat FLOP!

The worst part about this is that it might have the opposite effect the fans think it will. Disney might no go "oh ok, now we need to give fans new stuff like a KOTOR trilogy or films set in the far future". Instead they might think "shit, the SW brand was hurt so badly but TLJ that people don't even want to watch the iconic character Han Solo. There's no way they would come out for films set in the old republic. ALL FUTURE STAR WARS FILMS OUTSIDE OF SKYWALKER STORYLINE CANCELLED"

The prequels actually had tons of practical effects, including lots of miniatures. It wasn't nearly as CGI as it seemed.

Kathleen really is a miracle worker. It was previously thought that there was no way a Star Wars film could ever lose hundreds of millions of dollars, but she made the impossible happen.

A huge embarrassing mess for Disney The drop from Rogue One is worse than the drop Revolutions had from Reloaded, and that was considered one of the benchmark worst drops ever for a franchise. Han Solo, the mega iconic character, is doing less than Doctor Strange on OW. I love seeing a giant corporation get bitten in the ass by their greed, but I'm also sad because this means a Kenobi film starring Ewan McGregor is less likely. This might be the end of the 'A Star Wars Story' films altogether.

When I was your age I was in university, having just ended a relationship and fallen out of touch with most of my friends. I felt really lonely and lost but I found my footing later, started doing work that was meaningful to me, started working out and focusing on myself, and my whole attitude and outlook improved, and as a result people were drawn to me. You can absolutely become the person you want to be and if that includes making lots of friends, it's totally possible.
