I don't think so, her cinematography is very good with many amazing films. You could say she never really got a huge blockbuster though. Indeed, I believe A Quiet Place is her biggest openning weekend ever. -
Just watched it. What a great, tense film. I'm not gonna repeat what many reviews are saying, just that I agree. I'll add however that I thought it was great how they handled mystery in this film. It said what it needed and left you to guess the rest. And you want to guess, you want to know because it's all so enthralling. The closest thing I can think of is Half Life 2.

The second part is debatable. How many space faring empires do we know about? And how far can technology go? But the first part is correct. It dialogues with ideas of progress and technological advancement that were created in Europe in the last two centuries or so.

It's a silly thing, but I have to admit I was kinda triggered when the trailer showed "Arrival" and "Prisoners" as Villeneuve's work. It should have been the former and "Sicario"! Anyway, look foward to this film. I was just watching Ghost in the Shell and although it wasn't that good, it make me want more films with that kind of theme.... I'll be playing some System Shock 2 until then.

Yeah I know. It's only that it hurts, man! Anyway, it still managed to get some money and we will have a sequel. So it's all good.

Yeah, I would also mention Rinko Kikuchi in Pacific Rim. And I wonder if someone would mention Kate Macer (from Sicario). I suspect not many people would because they would fall in the trap of the film, which would led some to believe she is weak and passive. While its her strength of character that actually makes her stand out. Anyway, I think there is a trend for better females roles. If we pick the last few years we have a good number of them.

That's surprising, I thought this film would do at least Lucy's number, which were very good. I wonder what went wrong?

Well, if Clint Mansell is scoring this then at least one thing in this movie will be fantastic.

This reminds me of that film "The Hunt". The truth does not matter. And it's not really the media, it's people. There are a lot of stories about people falsely accused that had their lifes destroyed and even after been proved innocent couldn't have it back.

You know, it might be less dumb than it might sound. Not much, but a bit less. If we pick iconic things from films some are bound to have very weird inspirations. The mimics from Edge of Tomorrow for example, were partly inspired by a grape stem.
