The top 10 territories this weekend were UK/Ireland ($2.39M on 640 screens/$8.51M cume), Russia ($1.53M on 1,450 screens/$6.07M cume), South Korea ($1.08M on 380 screens/$16.23M cume), Germany ($915K on 605 screens/$2.6M cume), Australia ($845K on 239 screens/$9.43M), Mexico ($626K on 654 screens/$3.09M cume), Venezuela ($546K on 37 screens/$1.69M cume), UAE ($487K on 32 screens/$1.93 cume), Brazil ($335K on 305 screens/$1.47M cume), and Holland ($326K on 97 screens/$903K cume). Spy has yet to open in 4 of the top 12 international territories.

The Dwayne Johnson disaster flick lost a lot of screens this weekend in China to JW and dropped 63% for $12.75 million, but has managed to gross a terrific $80.2 million after 13 days. The film took second behind JW in Mexico ($2.34M on 1,550 screens/$26.1M cume), South Korea ($2.3M on 631 screens/$11.2M cume), Brazil ($1.2M on 598 screens/$9.3M cume), and France ($1.1M on 496 screens/$6.7M cume). Other top market totals are UK/Ireland ($15.3 million), Russia ($10.5 million), Taiwan ($6.8 million), Australia ($6.1 million), Germany ($4.7 million), Hong Kong ($3.8 million), and Italy ($2.6 million). Spain opens on June 26.

It also crushed Universal's previous record holder Furious 7 which premiered in April with $250.4 million. Combined with NA's record breaking opening weekend, Jurassic World ruled the Earth with $511.8 million worldwide - the highest global bow in history. Jurassic has opened in 66 territories since Wednesday and is the top film everywhere, snaring an average 70% market share around the world. Top grossing territories are China ($100.8M), U.K. and Ireland ($29.6M), Mexico ($16.2M), South Korea ($14.4M), France ($12.5M), Australia ($12.1M), Germany ($11M), Russia ($9.4M), Taiwan ($8M), India ($7.1M), Spain ($7M), Brazil ($6.3M), Malaysia ($5.7M), Italy ($5.3M), and the Philippines ($5.3M). Super-sized Indominus Rex was also a huge draw on international IMAX screens where Jurassic opened with a record-breaking weekend of $23.5 million from 443 screens - the previous best was $16.7 million for Transformers: Age of Extinction. 3D tickets also accounted for nearly half of the international haul. Universal's Jurassic World co-financed by Legendary Pictures will open in its final territory Japan on August 5.

There were also 4.26 million screenings (+33.33%) and 86.19 million admissions (+36.19%) during May. Domestic films accounted for ¥805 million ($129.69 million) while imported films earned ¥2.372 billion ($382.16 million) for a 3:1 split in favor of foreign films. 2015 YTD Box Office Stats The 2015 yearly box office total through May 31 stands at ¥16.867 billion ($2.72 billion), 56.7% ahead of 2014 at the same date. There have been 20.72 million screenings (+34.54%) and 465.01 million admissions (+52.47%). Domestic films have earned ¥8.512 billion ($1.38 billion) and imported films have grossed ¥8.305 billion ($1.34 billion), an almost even split five months through 2015. A Look Ahead The first half of June has once again been dominated by imported films (San Andreas, Jurassic World, Stand By Me Doraemon), but late June will see the arrival of several domestic pics with huge box office potential (SPL2: A Time For Consequences, The Ark of Mr. Chow, and Hollywood Adventures) and July is the industry's unofficial protection month with no scheduled foreign releases. Strong openings include #1 in the UK/Ireland with $4.12 million on 787 screens (93% of Bridesmaids and 150% of The Heat), #1 in Russia with $3.19 million on 1,616 screens (more than double the lifetime gross of Bridesmaids), #2 in Mexico with $1.63 million on 944 screens (the biggest opening weekend ever for Paul Feig/Melissa McCarthy), and #1 in Germany with $1.45 million on 599 screens (117% of The Heat). Spy also had the highest grossing opening weekend for a Paul Feig/Melissa McCarthy collaboration in Brazil ($994K on 305 screens), UAE ($926K on 53 screens), Thailand ($725K on 270 screens), Holland ($451K on 97 screens), Norway ($406K on 160 screens), Ukraine ($398K on 170 screens), Sweden ($340K on 148 screens), Peru ($287K on 95 screens), Denmark ($286K on 68 screens), and Central America ($279K on 123 screens). The comedy held well in South Korea ($2.12 million/$14.53 million cume) despite a MERS scare affecting the overall market. Australia came in at #3 in its third weekend of release down just 26% from last weekend ($1.43 million/$7.73 million cume). Spy opens in France on June 17.

Entourage rolls up to the UK/Ireland on June 19.

Fat Amy's (actress Rebel Wilson) home country of Australia grossed $765k this weekend for a 31-day total of $20.8 million, while Germany - home to the acapella group battling the Barden Bellas - earned $655K for a 25-day total of $10.3 million. Pitch Perfect 2 still has 12 more stops on its worldwide tour. Chile is next on June 25.
