All great suggestions actually, I think with JJ back for IX we'll see it most certainly do it. Same with Frozen 2. My broader thinking though is that if IW/Avengers4 will probably be Marvel's last big grab, I mean I can't see how they can keep it growing when new entrants have such a massive slog of films to go through and the fan base doesn't look to be growing outside of its key demos. I would love to see Minions 2 do mega money, the success of that franchise fills me with the perfect mixture of laughter and existential dread. -
I could be wrong, but it looks like BP won't break 0.5A, I mean I'd be happy to be wrong of course, but does this leave IW as the only contender before A2 to have a real shot at it? Or is there a chance a Chinese release will do it/Wildcard over here?

Very true, I'd also add - that while there is no known 'perfect' method of communication as StevenG rightly stated, there is still a 'correct' method of communication within given languages. While the rules can bend and change over time, given the context/setting/time frame those roles still hold.

I try to keep that fact out of my mind. It's an okay film (the AC not TC) but really I feel treating the characters with such disdain... unforgivable.

Be fair, IW is the biggest contender to pass 0.5A this year. Who wouldn't want that kind of accolade?

This is a great point. As a franchise nothing can really compare to the might of the MCU. What's the conversion rate of As to MCUs? DIS would be another good measure.

There's no extant method (AFAIK) that can take both inflation and foreign currency fluctuations into account without making massive assumptions not based on solid evidence.

It's my only lament that Titanic is #2 all time that at one time you could say that the number of Oscar noms/wins was directly proportional to gross (e.g. #1 Oscar Winner = #1 at the Box Office). Fingers crossed A2 makes that true again. Again, @MrGlass2 you make me laugh so much, love that empty cabinet.

Very happy to hear this re: the CGI. I hope we see them go onto even greater heights because really the apes franchise was brilliant.
