Will probably continue through the weekend as numbers are good but slightly below some expectations.
As a Spidey fan it's going to have a hard time topping the first 2 for me.
Typical Deadline too early to call numbers.
As much as I love the movie it does look a little TV moviesh plus the aspect ratio doesn't do it any favors.
So heartbreaking to hear. Especially around this time. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/joan-lee-dead-wife-marvel-comics-legend-stan-lee-was-93-1018951
Sounds about right. I thought the movie was decent enough. Way better than Baywatch and a little above Snatched. Really hope Girls Night breaks out and gets R rated comedies out of the bind they've been in this summer.
I was really curious to check it out after hearing how out there it is but after hearing a lot of people's reactions I might save it for a rainy Sunday afternoon.
Given the reviews to me it'd be a damn shame if Apes 3 can't at least get over 200m. As for Kingsman I'm pulling for it to raise from the first but a part of me feels like it could easily underperform.
With The House also disappointing, I feel Girls Trip is going to be the hit needed to save comedies this summer. Everytime I've got the trailer it's received more laughs than the movie it's attached to.
How am I just now finding out Elizabeth Debicki, Ethan Hawke, and Joh Goodman are all in Valerian? From the marketing I figured DeHaan, Delevingne, Owen, and Rihanna were the only known actors.
Fine. Defeat. Although it's looking to seriously underperform from what I was expecting. I figured it would at least have no problem at least reaching close to Minions.
