  1. It's quite enjoyable, but you never forget that it's a gimmick.
  2. After sending my numbers, I almost don't want to look at any numbers until official estimates are released.
  3. What I notice about the NBR top 10 is the absence of Moneyball and Midnight in Paris.
  4. Revenge of the Fallen is the worst movie I've ever paid to see.
  5. Right now, I think Pitt is in the lead. Moneyball gave him the best reviews of his career, and the movie made some money. I'd say Tree of Life definitely helps.Clooney already has one, and Durjardin is a foreign actor in a silent film. That said, if anybody can get Durjardin a win, it's the Weinsteins. I think people feel Pitt's entering his golden age. Sometimes comes a moment when the Academy decides to reward someone, not just for one film, but their whole career.
  6. I've seen Deathly Hallows and Hugo, and I'd vote Hugo. The station really was astounding.
  7. The Azkaban teaser is tops for me.
  8. I still think Batman Returns, with all of its plot holes, remains the most interesting Batman flick.
  9. I've given up on Rotten Tomatoes. Too many negative reviews are marked positive, and vice versa. I strictly go with Metacritic nowadays.
  10. I certainly did much better than last week.
  11. They might as well mail the Oscar to Rango's team a little early.

  13. After seeing Hugo, I can't imagine it not winning. I'd be fine with that, because the work is absolutely incredible.
